Celebrating One

Celebrating One fills a unique and essential space. How many of us know a struggling nonprofit owner or high school student? They coming failures are obvious, yet too often, they fall between the cracks. Celebrating One goes one-to-one with people to guide them along the path to success. Kudos to this nonprofit's mission!

I cannot explain the support and help i received from
Jurgita. I joined last year for my daughter that was a senior I appreciate everything and just Jurgita being there to listen and to stop what she’s doing to answer a question or anything or a email she would get right back to you. She makes you feel like your family abd she’s very honest lol she don’t sugarcoat anything lol. That’s what make this program different you can feel the love and support.

This is an amazing charity that helped my son have an amazing senior year. Without them the memories wouldn’t have been made and he wouldn’t have walked the stage or had a party. They were there for him and I not only close to graduation but throughout the year and since. Graduation is so very important for kids and many cannot participate due to finances. I’m forever grateful that my son was selected and was able to participate in graduation that would not have happened without their help!

My story can not truly be explain in words. This program has blessed not only my daughter but our entire family in so many ways. I am a single mother of four who at the time had just recently undergone brain surgery and lost my husband. My daughter and I came up in a conversation amongst another client and some of the board members and with no questions asked we became one of the newest family members. I call myself a family member because they all bend over backwards to take care of my entire family in any way possible. Their continued support and outreach has meant. Lot to myself and my graduates. Somehow I always manage to get a postcard of encouragement in the mail right when it is most needed. I will forever be grateful and in debt to this program. Without this organization, my two kiddos might not have made it to college this year.

My experience will never be forgotten. Know grad left behind helped my family out so much not only the gifts but the compassion and the program reaches out to still make my family apart of there family and making sure my graduate is doing ok. Sometimes I tell strangers or loved ones that I know what my daughter was blessed with and I found out how much I was truly blessed to get this help. It breaks my heart that so many students need the help With know grad left behind they work every day trying to get donations to help others like they helped my daughter. I hope that one day they help more then 15 kids at a time because it makes these kids feel special and important and recognized Not because there getting a little help because this program tells them how proud there of them. It makes me cry typing this because this is the best help I could ever received. Thank you to everyone

It all started as a newspaper article for me. I read a touching story about how Celebrating One positively impacts the community in more ways than one and at that moment, I had to get involved. My journey with C1 as been nothing short of incredible. Though my time volunteering was short (due to the lovely pandemic), the love and support still given to me by the entire C1 team is one full of love, encouragement, and support. C1 is all about supporting those who may not have support through difficult times. And boy, they never miss a beat. From being on both ends of the spectrum with C1 (volunteering to being the one receiving support) I see the amount of thought that goes into supporting the people in the community. Celebrating One makes you feel important when life may knock you down, Celebrating One truly celebrates each person in a special and unique way. They get to know YOU with a deep understanding. If you are looking to get involved with an organization that deeply cares about those who they are supporting, Celebrating One is just the place to go.

I recently joined the Celebrating One team as a volunteer and I can't say enough about the compassion and commitment of all of the staff and volunteers. I joined because I was inspired by the cause - encouraging those who feel alone and need help to keep moving forward to find good emotional and mental health. I am humbled by the dedication of this small team as they promote empathy through human connection and celebration. In every meeting, you feel welcomed and you know that they care so sincerely about their volunteers, as well as all the others we reach out to with support. Thrilled to have found this organization!

This organization is like family to me. I joined Celebrating One as a volunteer to write cards pre-Covid, hoping that I could help others with their mental health journeys through encouraging words. Through Celebrating One, I have been able to do that and have received love and support myself. The volunteer community is full of individuals who deeply care about one another and the people we are serving. I am so grateful to be part of Celebrating One.

Volunteering at Celebrating One has been such an inspirational and rewarding experience. I currently help with creating and sending out their e-news and monthly e-newsletter. I would highly recommend Celebrating One, as it is such a unique, incredible non-profit that truly helps one person at a time and makes a genuine impact on people's lives in the community. Being a Celebrating One volunteer has allowed me to meet new people and develop new close friendships, all while positively impacting members of the community through its various programs. I absolutely love Celebrating One's "Send-A-Card" Program! Not only do I get to help make really awesome handwritten motivational/inspirational cards for hundreds of C1 recipients, but I also signed up to get to receive them too! Overall - Awesome organzation and people!

I first learned about Celebrating One through a friend and I was fascinated by their mission, programs, and the organization's positive impact on individuals' lives in the community. Having a strong passion for mental health research/awareness/education, in conjunction with having experienced my own struggles throughout my personal journey, I was immediately drawn to Celebrating One and quickly began volunteering.


I began volunteering at Celebrating One (as an “e-news volunteer”) at the same time I was a graduate student, working towards earning my Master’s in Public Health. In addition to volunteering, I also gained real-world experience towards my public health internship for graduate school, and learned an incredible amount about nonprofits and their impact on mental health and public health!


Following my internship, I continued to volunteer for Celebrating One and became their “Communications and PR Director”, which has given me the opportunity to spread the organization’s message and help C1 reach more people in both the community and afar.


Volunteering at Celebrating One has truly been an incredible and very rewarding experience for me. I have learned so much, I have met so many new people and have developed genuine close friendships, and I have been able to help others in the community during arguably one of the most difficult times - during the global pandemic. The organization quickly adapted to allow volunteers to volunteer virtually, as well as help people virtually by holding virtual events.


I am so proud of Celebrating One for all that the organization has accomplished and I am so incredibly proud to be able to be a volunteer at such a wonderful non-profit that genuinely helps others, one person at a time.

I had my first experience with Celebrating One as a recipient of the kindness, encouragement and empathetic support they so generously give. They found me during an extremely difficult transition in my life and offered unwavering support and understanding. Some of my first friendships during this pivotal point in my life were developed and fostered through Celebrating One. There were many moments I would have felt entirely alone in this world without the connection they provided me. Still today, Celebrating One is a constant reminder to me of the abundance of good and humanity we're surrounded by. Beginning to volunteer for C1 has been a crucial part of my healing journey. Sometimes the quickest way to help yourself is to give yourself and your service to others. I found that by taking part in the mission of C1 I was able to use my own story to not only heal myself but also to those around me in my community Celebrating One is truly an example of contagious kindness, something so incredibly vital during this global pandemic we continue to battle. There have been so many instances where I have seen the kindness shown to someone by C1 turned into another act of kindness towards another. It really has an amazing full circle effect that creates a positive momentum of good.

I was SUCH a fan of the work that Celebrating One does in our community, I joined the Board to help fundraise and further the mission.

I believe Celebrating One does exactly what a nonprofit should be doing - supporting individual people and families. I have countless stories of how the cards in the mail have helped folks get through the day, the graduation celebrations were a lifesaver, and how great connecting with local senior citizens is.

I found this organization through a friend and it has positively impacted my life in more ways than I can express. I am a recipient of their amazing "Send a Card" program, volunteer, and Volunteer Coordinator of Celebrating One. We strive to "celebrate one person at a time" because each individual deserves to be celebrated for the struggles they overcome and the accomplishments they achieve. Every person matters. Every person is important and deserves kindness. This organization provides grace, encouragement, support, and applause through our programs and the love will give them and each other.
