CASA is a great organization that aims to provide support to children in the foster care system. The advocates and staff are very dedicated to the children they serve and often are the only constant figure in the child’s life throughout the case. Advocates are supportive of permanency goals of reunification or finding family that can be of support to the child/family.
Being a CASA of Tarrant County volunteer has been uniquely rewarding. The organization's flexibility allows me to dedicate the necessary time to this meaningful work despite my roles as a spouse, mom, medical student, etc. Over the past few months, I've had the honor of meeting and supporting the children assigned to me. I began to recognize this role isn't just about giving time; it's also about being a voice and pillar of stability for these young lives, who are our future generation. The comprehensive training and ongoing support from the organization, including a dedicated volunteer supervisor, have been invaluable! I highly highly recommend attending an information session. Being a CASA volunteer will touch your heart and life just as deeply as you aim to touch the lives of the children you are advocating for.
I have been a CASA for one year and have advocated for one teen girl. She is in her 7th placement since I came on her case. I am THE ONE CONSTANT in this girl’s life. I KNOW I am making an impact simply because I am THERE and I CARE!
Kids need someone in their corner. While it can be trying at times knowing that I am making a difference gives me solace.
Every kid needs a champion in their corner!!!
I am a new CASA and learning new things every day. I have been with CASA Tarrant County since June 2024. As an advocate my primary goal is to be the person standing up for their best interest. CASA Tarrant County has given me the training and support to ensure each child is receiving the best care while in foster care. I appreciate the opportunity to invest my time and care with the children on my case. More volunteers are needed and appreciated. Please sign up for a session to see if you are interested.
As a CASA with Tarrant County I have seen first hand how children in foster care can benefit from an advocate whose primary goal is to ensure someone is standing up for their best interest. CASA Tarrant County has given me the training and support to ensure each child is receiving the best care while in foster care. I appreciate the opportunity to invest my time and care with each child on my case; while striving for each one of them to have a positive and fulfilling future.
I have been a CASA Advocate for six years and have witnessed first hand the positive impact that CASA has in children’s lives. As an Advocate I connect with children at a time when they need someone they can count on as they go through the foster care system. They need to feel safe and have someone they can trust. That is what CASA provides to these children.
As a CASA, I have seen first hand how CASA has helped advocate for kids in care. I have a kid who had an issue and was released from her foster parents. She bounced around from foster home to group home to youth shelter - all because of a undiagnosed medical condition. Had she not have a CASA or attorney, she would have been mislabeled by the foster system - making her find a foster home or potential adoptive family much harder. We pushed and pushed - and she was treated and haven't had an issue since. What if she didnt have a CASA or very involved attorney? She would be stuck in the foster system. Stuck. Everyone deserves someone to be on their side - fighting for them. That is what CASA does.
As a CASA of Tarrant County Volunteer, I am privileged to experience firsthand how CASA makes a positive and significant impact to the lives of at-risk children in the foster system. Statistically documented, foster children with assigned CASA volunteers are less likely to experience criminality or homelessness, more likely to graduate high school, and more likely to evolve into normalized lives. I feel personally rewarded to be part of the CASA of Tarrant County mission.
CASA is an amazing organization that is changing lives for the better daily. Most importantly, it is giving these children that are victims of abuse and neglect a real shot at success and working to strenghten the family unit. From a donor side, it is the best BANG FOR YOUR BUCK place to allocate your funds, as the do more with less than any other organization I have been involved with over the years.
I have known CASA since I was in college. Finding ways to make a difference for a family and in a child's life is something I have pursued from college through my professional life with multiple volunteer opportunities. Being asked to serve on the CASA of Tarrant County Board links my past to current and allows me to serve the abused and neglected children in Tarrant County in ways I haven't been able to before. From the leadership of CASA to the volunteers who live out the mission, the CASA of Tarrant County organization is top notch.
CASA is a wonderful organization. When abused and neglected children in our community don't have anyone or any of what is familiar to them, CASA's Advocates are there for them. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are truly special people and it is wonderful that Tarrant County judges, attorney's, foster parents, CPS all recognize the benefits these children get from having a CASA Advocate. The outcomes down the road of the children who have had a CASA advocate are truly beneficial. I am so proud to be associated with this awesome non-profit.

I have been involved with CASA of Tarrant County for over 10 years. I am proud of my association with one of the top CASA programs in the State of Texas. Our Advocates give a voice to the children in our community that don’t have a voice. The leadership, employees and volunteers of CASA of Tarrant County are phenomenal and the abuse and neglected children that have a CASA Advocate have such a better chance at finding a forever home than the children without a CASA Advocate.
CASA is a nonprofit with a direct impact on foster children. It is based on CASAs developing a relationship with foster children in a protective and caring role. CASA educates volunteers in a thorough and ongoing manner. As a volunteer I have learned a lot about the legal and foster system. CASAs write a report about the children for the judge.
CASA relies on donations to bring in volunteers for children waiting for this kind of support, and to help the children with some of their needs.
CASA is an important part of helping children in our community.
CASA volunteers go above and beyond for children in foster care every day. The trajectory of children's lives are forever changed when they have a CASA. The volunteers listen to the kids, show up for them, advocate for them in and outside of the courtroom and do this for the duration of the child's case - often lasting over a year! That's commitment!
CASA of Tarrant County advocates for children in the foster care system in Tarrant County. They make sure the children in care receive the things and services they need while in care, feel safe in foster placements, are safe in their placements, advocate for their educational, legal, therapeutic and medical needs. The volunteers spend countless hours making sure the lives of the children are as good as they could possibly be, until they have an opportunity to return home to their parents, family or other caregiver. They try to get children out of care as quickly as possible. They are a vital part of the legal case, as they try to collaborate with all parties to help keep the children safe until they can return to a permanent home.
CASA of Tarrant County shares amazing stories about what they do. Their communication with me as a donor is much better than some other nonprofits I'm involved with. I feel like I'm making a real difference when I give to CASA.
I myself have been involved with CASA my entire life. As a child, my siblings and I had dealings with CASA since we were in and out of the system. Now, as an adult... I have the privilege of being a CASA. I want to make an impact in children's lives the same way CASA did for me and my siblings. CASA makes an impeccable impact on children who are in situations that some of us could never fathom. It's my honor to be a part of such a wonderful organization.
CASA of Tarrant Co. Consistently offers continuity and dependability to children who have been removed from their homes.Even when the pandemic caused businesses and systems to fracture, this organization found the way to maintain connection and be a stable focus for the children and families they work with. And sadly there are so many more children to work with in the wake of this ongoing crisis. Please support and be part of this incredible organization so no child stands alone.
The work that CASA does is beyond stunning. They are a model organization and provide an incredible return on donated dollars through their use of volunteers. I could not think of a better organization to contribute to!
A cornerstone in the Fort Worth community for the children in domestic need.
Step up and volunteer; there's so many children that need your voice to be heard on their behalf.
