Causes: Mental Health, Residential Mental Health Treatment
Mission: Carson valley children's aid is dedicated to delivering services to children, youth and families that ensure their safety, build on their strengths, honor their differences and empower them to achieve their goals for success in life.
Programs: Residential and academic - flourtown, pa campus: there are five residential buildings licensed for 109 youths; three are for dependent care; two are also licensed for residential treatment. There is a private academic licensed school for grades 7 through 12 and special education with small classroom size, individualized support, and a focus on credit recovery. There is also a treatment program for day students who attend the school.
behavioral health services: a range of behavioral health services are provided at home, in schools and throughout the community including outpatient center in north philadelphia; behavioral health rehabilitation services (bhrs) in philadelphia, montgomery, and delaware counties; school therapeutic services (sts) in six schools in philadelphia; family based services in montgomery county; student assistance program (sap) in 23 schools in montgomery county; and women voices, health choices serving opiate addicted women who are pregnant in norristown and pottstown.
community based programs - philadelphia and montgomery counties: a full continuum of community based placement services are offered including: a group home for up to 12 youths; foster care, general and treatment; community homes, a form of treatment foster care, with up to four youths living in a home with a professional parent; supervised independent living apartments for older youth; and transitional housing for young adults who are homeless. In addition, there are prevention and early intervention services such as truancy, out of school time, and rapid service response serving philadelphia families. Norristown is the location of the family and housing resource centers which also provides prevention and intervention services for all ages - infants to the elderly.
