Causes: Health, Public Health
Mission: To bring together health and wellness resources for people residing in southeast alaska, thereby empowering them to make sound decisions and choices with the goal of prolonging their quality of life whether in time of crisis or fulfillment.
Programs: Travel assistance grants for cancer patients traveling outside of southeast alaska for cancer treatment and assistance for counseling and special needs. In addition to travel grants, cancer connection also subsidizes a one bedroom apartment in seattle for residents of southeast alaska.
support group programs for women with breast cancer and general cancer support group, cancer support group meets once a month. Provided "let's talk" a one-to-one survivor support network. Support group expenses include an annual celebration national cancer survivors day.
