Mission: The organization provides an opportunity for siblings of children with chronic illness or special needs to go under the care and supervision of staff and to get the support they need to help overcome the everyday battles they are faced with.
Programs: Sibling sessions: the organization provides sessions that allow siblings to share experiences, to ask questions and to learn about the disease their brother or sister is experiencing. Any child, age 5-15, living in the capital region area of upstate new york, who has a sibling suffering from a chronic illness or disability, is eligible to participate.
six flags outing: the organization sponsors an annual bus trip to six flags of new england in agawam, ma. Over 150 participants/siblings in the bus stop club travel from the capital district to massachusetts for a day of activity.
camp week: the organization sends children to day camp for the week and provides lunch daily and a family bbq one evening.
expenses related to other programs such as the gala, golf and bowling fundraising events.
