I am a Student Council sponsor at a Dallas area high school, and I have been bringing my students, my family, and my church youth group to volunteer in the Bonton neighborhood for 15 years. Bridgebuilders is a phenomenal nonprofit organization, and I highly recommend serving here. I love that they start the time of service with a prayer. Everyone is so nice and professional. They are always prepared, organized, and ready for us to serve. I always feel like what they have us doing is purposeful and important in serving the community. They appreciate our service, and I love the fact that they provide a service-learning opportunity, as they always provide background information about how Bonton Farms and Bridgebuilders has formed and what they are doing and what our service is providing. My students are often hesitant serving (just not knowing what to expect mainly) but they always leave feeling like they have positively contributed to a great cause, and they always comment how they are grateful for the opportunity and glad they came. Bridgebuilders is my favorite place to serve, and I highly recommend. It is time worth spent, and you will be asking, "when can I come back?"
I have been collaborating with BridgeBuilders for years and it has been an amazing experience. They care so much for the needs of the community and they provide service with dignity and respect. Every member of the team cares about the mission and honoring the community they serve. The Executive Director has a servant spirit that is embedded in the culture of the organization and you see that same spirit in each member of the team. It truly is a great place to donate, volunteer or receive services. They are great partners and collaborators and we love working with them.
I love BridgeBuilders and the work they do in South Dallas! I work for another non-profit and we partner with BridgeBuilders to run the South Dallas Community Market. They are great partners and make running this client-choice food pantry so easy! They are easy to communicate with and work for solutions! They are willing to share the spotlight if it means that neighbors are served well. I trust their leadership and believe they are focused on their mission.
I’ve volunteered with BridgeBuilders multiple times over many years in different roles. It is humbling to participate with the community of Bonton in loving their neighbors. I love that they work with Bonton for Bonton.
BridgeBuilders has been faithfully partnering with South Dallas since 1994! They’re in the relationship business always looking to highlight their neighbors and promote opportunities for each person to fulfill their God-given potential! If you’re looking for a place to invest, start here!
My name is Clifton Reese, Founder and CEO of Bonton United. It has been an incredible experience serving alongside an organization like BridgeBuilders. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and serving youth through their after-school programs and community events.
More than a year ago, BridgeBuilders recognized the need to empower leaders within the Bonton community to pursue their passions and God-given visions. They played a pivotal role in helping me launch my ministry for teens—giving them opportunities to work, dream, and build a future for themselves.
What stands out most about BridgeBuilders is their humility and commitment to true community impact. They are not here to build their brand but to serve, uplift, and walk alongside those they support. Their leadership speaks volumes, and I am grateful to be part of this journey with them.
