Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Breakthrough Sacramento believes in the power of education to radically change peoples’ lives through an innovative approach we call “Students Teaching Students”. We provide six years of intensive academic enrichment and ongoing support for motivated students at under-resourced schools looking for greater educational opportunities, ensuring they are on the path to a four-year college. Simultaneously, we train outstanding high school and college students to serve as today and tomorrow’s educational leaders.
Target demographics: 7-12 grade students in Sacramento recruited from under-resourced elementary schools, talented high school and college students to teach the program participants
