Causes: Boys & Girls Clubs, Children & Youth
Mission: The Mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Cypress is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Our Vision is to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success if within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good characters and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Results: Since 2006, demand for services increased 400%. During this same time, the Club’s budget doubled. Our Club provides a great return on investment. We are efficient and effective. • 150 children attend each school day at Moody Street location • 90-100 children attend each school day at King School location • 250 children attend each summer day at our Moody Street location • 140 children ride our CHP certified vans from local schools to the Club each school day • Provide free daily snack to all members • Offer a full-inclusion program for children with special needs • Help families in need connect with agencies that provide additional services • Host numerous family events and help other youth agencies who need meeting space • We never turn away a child for inability to pay • Provide nearly $250,000 in scholarships to 300+ children with economic need and children from military families
