Causes: Disaster Aid, Disaster Preparedness & Relief Services
Mission: To prepare, educate, and disseminate information on disaster of all type, including natural disasters. To have supplies and communications protocols ready to coordinate relief effort with government agencies.
Programs: Be ready manoa focused on becoming a disaster prepared community in 2017 by completing its training under the guidance of the hawaii emergency management association. All of the training was open to community residents so that they too could provide feedback and hear, firsthand, how the be ready manoa organization was going to respond post disaster. Manoa was recognized as a disaster prepared community in august of 2017. Be ready manoa sponsored community emergency response team training and ham radio training for interested community volunteers in the 4th quarter of 2017.
