Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Our mission at the Battle for a Cure Foundation (Battle4aCure/B4AC) is to enrich the lives of children with cancer by raising funds for scientific research and clinical trials to discover advanced treatments for childhood cancers and to potentially find a cure. We are dedicated to encouraging citizens to raise awareness and money for childhood cancer until a cure is found. We not only want to provide money to restore the financial burden, we want to give back Hope to the children and families affected by childhood cancer- the No. 1 disease killer of children.
Results: We have sent thousands of Hope Boxes through the past few years. This year we are raising money for our CURE Account to fund the most promising childhood cancer research.
Target demographics: children ages 0-18 years fighting childhood cancer in the United States.
Programs: Hope Box Program sends boxes of gifts to children fighting cancer and their families. Kimberly's Hospital Hope Program sends boxes of gifts to children receiving treatment at local hospitals. Warrior 4 Warrior Program matches up children fighting cancer to US soldiers who are currently deployed. CURE Account funds the most promising research targeted only toward childhood cancers.
