This is an outstanding organization of volunteers that support our communities. We have been blessed to have awarded them our Non-Profit of the Year for both 2011 and 2021.
The resources they provide in both backpacks for our Lake Elsinore Unified School District and the clothing programs to allow students to be at ease returning to school without loss of confidence is an amazing blessing to our community and the surrounding school districts!!!
I was amazed when I reviewed the financial information about the Assistance League and the percentage of revenue going back to the community, unbelievably high. What they do for children who need clothing and shoes for school is amazing and everybody involved needs to be praised.
I have been a proud member of their Advisory Board since 2012. I have also been donating to their thrift store since then as well and tell all of our friends and family to do the same. I do so because I know the proceeds go directly back into our community to help families and children in need. Their members are all volunteers and have hearts of gold. The Thrift Store is huge and always full of great deals and unique items. They also have an auxiliary group called Assisteens which is comprised of high school teenagers who volunteer and learn how to work with money, the public and learn the importance of giving back to the community.

I am proud to say that I have been involved with the ALTV since first learning about them in 2010. This truly is an amazing group of people that are so giving of themselves for the good of others. All of the money raised by the sales in there huge thrift store goes right back into our local community helping kids in need. Because I have seen the good they do first hand, this is the only place I take my donations to. If you have not yet visited this thrift store or met any of these very special people, I highly suggest you do. You too will be an ALTV fan for life.
This is a top notch nonprofit org! I have been in to the Assistance League of Temecula Valley store numerous times, and each time, I'm impressed by the kind and helpful folks that they have on staff. I have also witnessed the staff going above and beyond to help families and kids that are in need. What a bunch of Angels!
They also give back to our local community in the form of scholarships and other outreach. I highly recommend that you visit them if you are in the Temecula area!
This is my favorite thrift store. I go there every time I visit Temecula. The thrift store had much more to offer than used products but are valuable items which seem to be carefully chosen. The staff is friendly and helpful. I always feel better after buying something at Assistance League of Temecula!
AL of Temecula is awesome!! I enjoy browsing the store every time I am in the area. I especially like their boutique of high-end clothing. But best of all is the work the the AL does in the local community. AL has for many years provided generous support to families and children in need.

I first visited the Assistance League thrift store in Temecula about three years ago and make a point of visiting whenever I am out that way. The volunteers who staff the store are fabulous. I usually check out the "boutique" which is the up-scale women's clothing and the kids sections. My kids enjoy looking through the toys. But the best part is knowing that my purchases are supporting the local community - especially women and children in need. Over time I've chatted with the ladies who work at the store and have learned about some of the ways they provide no-cost clothing and furniture to families in need.
For a very long time the Assistance League has supported the local Crisis Pregnancy Centers with generous donations of much needed baby and children’s clothing to help families in need.
The Services of Crisis Pregnancy Centers are provided at no cost to families and the support enables them to better parent their children and provide them with much needed clothing.

Appreciate all the item's of baby clothing and up to size 7 children's clothing that you donate to EVPRC. It is a great help to families in need.
I want to highlight the Temecula store. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The store is so organized and easy to shop. I like to find a "treasure" to purchase. It's comforting to know my purchase goes toward helping so many wonder causes. My personal favorite part of this store is the "Boutique". They put the fancy work clothes, jewelry and party dresses in that area. If you have not shopped at the Temecula Store, I highly recommend it.
Assistance league of Temecula Valley after 30 years continues to effectively serve the communities in Southwest Riverside County. They actively assess the needs of the community and adjust their programs to provide needed services to disadvantaged children and families. As an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, their members are second-to-none in their dedication to providing help where it is needed most. The 18,000 sq. ft. thrift shop is a treasure for shoppers and provides needed funds for their programs.

I am in my fourth year of volunteering with Assistance League of Temecula Valley and am still in awe of the level of commitment and hours of hard work that is given by our members. Our dedication to serving the needs of disadvantaged students and families in southwest Riverside County has never been stronger. Many thanks to all of our volunteers, supporters and shoppers for your help in achieving our goals.
I love the Assistance League of Temecula Valley and how they are such an asset to the children and families of our local community. Their displays are always done so well and lets you see items clearly. Their pricing is very fair as well. I recently donated a large number of quality items. It made me so proud to know that they were going to such a good cause. When I saw a couple of my donated dresses highlighted in the boutique area it was an extra blessing for me. Im very happy they are in our neighborhood.⭐⭐
The Assistance League of Temecula Valley is my favorite store/boutique because of its superior merchandise, unmatched value and excellent customer service. Every visit is new and exciting with updated inventory and unique finds. The staff is friendly, warm, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend The Assistance League of Temecula Valley for new and previously owned/well-maintained items including, clothes and shoes in all sizes, purses, jewelry, toys, housewares, collectibles, rare finds and much, much more!
Before the pandemic I used to drive down from Lake Arrowhead once a month for their monthly half price sale. There were many bargains to be had at this large, well-organized store. What impressed me the most, though, was the positive attitudes and helpfulness from the ladies who volunteered at the store. This was a long day, with long lines and lots of merchandise being purchased. They were always upbeat and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this store!
This is my favorite thrift store. I go there every week. The items they have are well priced and good quality. The staff is friendly. It is my happy place.

This is my favorite thrift store. The ladies (and men) who volunteer there are kind, thoughtful, and efficient. The thrift store is well run and has a wide variety of quality items. I try to go at least once a week. The causes they support help students in the local community. I truly love this place!!
While the Goodwill and Salvation Army seem to be raising their prices, Assistance League still has bargains on offer. I love browsing in their housewares, crafts, frames, and office supplies. I often find unexpected goodies on the garment racks, too. The volunteers are warm and welcoming. Always a pleasure.
Assistance League of Temecula Valley has played an instrumental role in our district, TVUSD when it comes to added support for our students. This organization has provided school supplies, Chromebooks, Academic Scholarships, college support for first generation students, assisted youth with tax preparation, and taught financial readiness seminars to our seniors! These contributions have been invaluable to our at risk populations, such as foster youth, homeless, and socio-economically disadvantage youth. This organization has helped our district provide equity and opportunity to so many students. I am so grateful for their wiliness to help and support our community! THANK YOU!!
On behalf of the Menifee Union School District and children of Menifee, I would like to offer my thanks and appreciation for all that the Assistance League of Temecula Valley provides to us. We have always appreciated their support especially through initiatives like Operation School Bell. Even during a time when many service organizations were struggling to continue their service to the community, the Assistance League of Temecula Valley donated $5,000 in gift cards for shoes for our children.
Thank you!

The Assistance League of Temecula Valley has been a valuable community partner for the students and families of the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. Due to their support and generosity, our students are able to obtain new clothing, a wonderful way to make our students feel special.
Another wonderful program they provide, is support for our students in care and our students who are displaced. The students are provided the opportunity to obtain yearbooks, attend dances and participate in prom and grad night events at no cost to the students or their families. We are very appreciative to these community "Angels".
The Menifee Valley Community Cupboard is a non-profit food pantry providing food at no cost to families struggling with food insecurity.
From our very first contact with the Assistance League of Temecula Valley they have always
asked "How can we help?". The Assistance league and it's members are tireless. No matter how much they do , they are always looking to do more.
From donations of peanut butter and back packs to providing school clothes and gift cards for Santa's Workshop, AL has been a blessing to the clients we serve and the community of Menifee.
Our story with the Assistance League of Temecula Valley began about five years ago . Since our initial introduction to them, they have been the foundation of so much of our support in the services we provide as a domestic violence agency. They have supported us in our quest to keep our survivors safe from domestic abuse in ways such as providing routine supplies of twin beds, mattresses, bedding and linen on more than a regular basis; the Operation School Bell project in and of itself has helped to dress hundreds of our client's children over the past five years. In addition to ALL of that, they offer Thrift store vouchers for our clients to purchase clothing and/or move out items as they transition out of our program and provide emergency gift cards to any incoming family to assist with clothing. They have literally been a God Send for our Program and we are graciously humbled by the Amazing work that they do.
I am very thankful Temecula has it's own Valley Assistance League. My children and are big fans and loyal customers.
Had an accident on my way from work home ...and seriously injured and asking for support.Thank you .
A few years ago the assistance league put on a program for senior girls to receive a prom dress that they normally would not have been able to purchase. My daughter was able to go shopping (for free) for a dress and shoes and a purse to go to the prom. It was such a blessing at a difficult time.
I also received another huge blessing recently when I found the most comfy couch in the world at your store. It was half price at $40. I was ecstatic. Now everyone wants to sit on our sofa!!!
As a new resident in the area I was super leased to find my sofa sleeper, night stand, lamp and dresser for super low prices BUT great condition! I have since found needed glassware and serving dishes. I love to stop by and shop for the sake of shopping now
I am a teacher and an active citizen. I have seen the Assistance League of Temecula Valley through the eyes of students provided with needed supplies to be prepared for school. I have also seen the Assistance League of Temecula Valley speak before city councils to share how their work benefits our local communities. I have been to the Assistance League Thrift Shop on 28720 Via Montezuma in Temecula to see volunteers of all ages serving tirelessly to support the work and mission of the Assistance League of Temecula Valley. This is truly a community effort as the Assistance League volunteers transform the lives of children and adults through community programs.
I joined ALTV just under 3 years ago. The positive energy, beginning with the orientation, was amazing. I wanted to find an organization that met my goals of giving back and helping those less fortunate, especially kids. What we do in our local area in Operation School Bell (clothes for kids), Foster Youth, Assisteens, financial literacy (Shades), Operation Scholarships (college scholarships and teacher grants), Operation Bear Hug and Chapters for Children is incredible. AND, it’s all done through our volunteers and income from our Thrift Store. So, 100 percent of what we generate goes back into the community. Very few nonprofits can say that. Needless to say, there are countless ways to volunteer. You find your own way. I chose Marketing/Communications and Operation Scholarships and sometimes, Operation School Bell. I find it an honor to represent this organization. Incredible nonprofit.
I’ve been shopping at Assistance League since I was a teenager, living in Temecula. I moved away for college and recently moved back and it has once again earned top spot, for me. Of all the thrift stores in town, this one beats the rest. The ladies volunteering their time here are sweet and helpful. You can tell they really care about the place, and their place in it. It’s super clean, super organized, super selections, SUPER prices! Plus they have even have great sales like first Friday of the month where it’s a half off sale the already greasy prices! I love the causes that my money goes towards, here. As a woman, and a mother, I couldn’t be more glad to give my money to this thrift store. Every time I see a post of someone asking where they can donate (and some specifically asking where else to donate besides the local SA) I ALWAYS say Assistance League. I really appreciate that even as the years have gone by they have kept their prices lower compared to other thrift stores. Some thrift stores around here are marking things retail store prices! I sometimes can’t believe it. They aren’t greedy like that here and understand people shop at thrift stores for reasons. They have set prices for selections of clothes; For example all short sleeves are one set price. They do have a boutique section which I still find to be reasonably priced and I still always find name brand things in the non boutique sections. I can’t say enough great things about Assistance League, seriously! They’ve for sure made it possible for a single income house of 4 to have their kids have enough clothes for the seasons!
The Assistance League of Temecula is gem in our valley. These dedicated volunteers not only run a local thrift store, but they also, give so much to our local students, teachers and families through our the year. Each beginning of the school year, this groups donates to over 3,000 school children in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, and Temecula through Operation School Bell. This program provides each low income student with new clothes and shoes for the school year. After this, unique program, the volunteers of the AL begin to accept applications from teachers who need financial assistance with purchasing education items. In Murrieta, several teachers have applied for a grant and have been granted funds to purchase Adaptive PE equipment for special needs students, and books for elementary classrooms. Additionally, the AL provides financial literacy to high school students, and financial support to homeless senior high school students. The AL of TV truly has heart for students and their wavering dedication to displayed through their programs. They really are making a difference and are showing the community that action and compassion is a wonderful combination.
The Assistance League of Temecula has been a timeless foundation of support, generosity, and kindness in our community. I am humbled and amazed at how well the Assistance League of Temecula continues to be a leader in giving, sharing, and supporting our Community.
This organization is unique in that it fulfills its mission to serve, so well; all while operating in a way that is responsible, diligent, and strategic about its solvency and stability. The Assistance League of Temecula is undoubtedly one of the best run non-profit organizations I've come across. It's leadership and vision has always been admirable & inspiring. The devoted volunteers, the programs, and the operation as a whole are tremendous.
This organization is truly an unsung hero in our community. It does so much to support so many. And, it invests in itself, as needed, to enable it to give and do more. They set the bar for what a mighty non-profit organization looks like.
I am never disappointed. I have found a treasure or two and use this store for on of a kind outfits. I also love the bargains when I need an item or two for centerpieces for an event or decor for the home. Dnating to this organization and knowing that someone appreciates it or it was a need for a job interview etc. is rewarding.
All the women who generously serve their community in AL do so with professionalism and joy. They are so friendly and some even funny! And the sales and merchandise are great too. Thank you all!
I have been on a path of weight loss for the past 4.5 years dropping 70 pounds. I could not afford to purchase brand new clothing every time I left a size behind. The ALTV has made it possible for me to afford to buy clothing in my new right size. I'm grateful to the organization, volunteers and donors who support this wonderful charity. You help me, and more importantly, you help our community. Thank you.
Having been associated with the Assistance League for many years, I am continually amazed at how far everyone in the organization goes to help others in the community. The Assistance League of Temecula Valley is consistently recognized as an outstanding non-profit leader in our area . I am proud to support them, buy from them and to know many who volunteer and support this terrific effort for those who need them.
I attended a Menifee Rotary Meeting with my husband. The speaker was from Assistance League of Temecula Valley. I was amazed at the numerous number projects they participate in or run. Operation School Bell especially touched my heart. These ladies are always giving. Their work certainly encouraged me to become more involved in helping children have new school clothes. You cannot imagine the joy it is to see a child thrilled with new socks and t-shirts for school. The League has helped with art supplies for elementary schools. Encouraging a child in art encourages interest in school.
I visited the thrift store and it is beautiful. I seriously have more fun shopping the boutique sale than I have shopping at Nordstrom’s annual sale.
Wherever there is a need in the community, the Assistance League of Temecula Valley is there to help.
Thank you!
Temecula's Assistance League is always clean, neat and well-staffed with friendly and helpful volunteers. There are always new things to see and find. When my husband and I go there, it is always a pleasure and fun.
Assistance League Temecula is a wonderful place to volunteer with all the community programs they offer! There is a spot for everyone no matter how large or small your time to give back. There are over 100 lovely people waiting to be a friend and share their enthusiasm with you! Come join us!!!
I'm a 15 year volunteer of Assistance League and spend a lot of time accepting donations at our "back door". What I hear most often when I ask what brought our donor to us is that they are doing it "for the kids". Our philanthropic programs serve thousands of children each year, all in the communities of Menifee, Romoland, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Wildomar, Murrieta and Temecula. Having been a volunteer in many areas, the fact that all the funds raised by our chapter stay in these communities is very important to me as it seems to be for our donors as well. Their generosity is "giving back to the community".
Discovered Assistance League of Temecula in 1994 and have enjoyed the treasure hunting ever since. I enjoy the high quality of clothing, home goods and collectibles.
Thank you for all you do!
I drive from Escondido to Temecula to visit this store. They always have lots of goodies to look through. It is well organized and easy to navigate. I really like the ladies who work the check-out - they are very pleasant and fun to talk with. The gentlemen working the back are very helpful and friendly as well. It's a great place to shop.

Took my daughter one day to just look around and have some fun. Out of nowhere my daughter screams with joy. She saw fabulous dress for proms and saw her dress. The quality of the gown was fantastic. The assistant there helped her to the dressing room and suggested some shoes and a handbag. all went so well together. The total was under $100. We couldn't believe it. She not only wore the dress to her Scholarship Pageant 3 times in a row but she wore it to prom as well. She loves this silver and gold gown. We continue to go back for many other things and the staff there were so helpful and fun. We would love to thank the Assistance League of Temecula Valley for having such wonderful finds.
I am a teacher at a local school for preschoolers of low income families. Every year, the Assistance League sponsors a Fall Festival which our children and families attend. It is a wonderful affair in which all have a great time and we get to interact together outside of the school. The really supportive and caring act the league provides follows this event. They donate all of the extra pumpkins to the school so each child will be able to claim one for themselves to decorate. There faces light up when they receive the pumpkins and show great pride when they finish their creative work on them. This organization is a prime example of a nonprofit that cares...
The store is well managed, clean and the people are very special. Very special means that they are helpful, kind and always willing to assist.
Nothing but great experiences in finding gifts for grandchildren and for ourselves. I like how the items are priced as a product, not priced by individual garment.
My sister, niece and I always meet for the first Friday sale -- we have such a great time together shopping all the wonderful items throughout the store. Even though this is a very popular sale day, and the lines are long, the volunteers are courteous, helpful and friendly. As we leave with bulging shopping bags we look forward to the next first Friday sale. We have too much fun to ever miss it.
Assistance League has given me a purpose to wake up in the morning. I have made good friends and together we have helped give back to our community. We have fun while contributing to a worth while cause.
The Assitance league is the best, all the merchandise is displayed well, its clean and neat. The book section is is order by Author and by material. Wonderful for readers. They have a boutique area for nicer clothers and shoes and purses even dresses for your girls to wear to parties. Plus, and to us one of the most important parts, its easy to donate. They are open to accept donations most of the normal business hours. The volunteers are all very nice and helpful, thank you, for your donationa and ask you to come again because they appreciate you and your donations. They also have special sales everyweek, and once a month they have a 50% off sale. Its truly a great, well run and special place.
Great selection of clothing, books, furniture, pictures and other household items. Friendly volunteer staff.
I have great experience every time I go into Assistance League of Temecula Valley. The Ladies that volunteer there are friendly and willing to help you with any questions you have. The Assistance League Prices are reasonably-priced . This is my favorite thrift store.
Just moved to Temecula a few months ago and was talking to someone about volunteering. He mentioned how the Assistance League of Temecula Valley did so much with kids. The more I found out the more I liked. This organization does so much....clothe over 2100 low income kids for new school clothes, supports military families, educate teens on financial literacy, award teacher grants to buy school supplies, college scholarships to local seniors, etc. Mostly financed through their thriftshop and vast array of volunteers. Great organization
We have supported the amazing efforts for the kids and our communities by the Assistance League of Temecula Valley for many years. We have nothing but admiration for the passionate efforts of all of their members. Their organization is well run. We love watching them flourish and help more people !!
The Assistance League of Temecula is a fantastic organization. They have assisted our foster family agency with donations of brand new clothing, toys, baby items and more for the children and families that we serve. They also have provided our foster children with tickets to local amusement parks, water parks, and other fun activities. They really care about foster children and are always willing to go the extra mile to help the community.
The Assistance League of Temecula has been an incredible supporter of our agency and our foster youth! From clothing, to college financial Assistance, holiday gifts, supporters of our summer activities, to letting us use their facility for meetings. They are great!
Valley News is the local newspaper serving the Southwest Riverside County and we have witnessed first-hand the impact of the services and products provided by Assistance League of Temecula Valley. They have literally touched the lives of tens of thousands.
The non-profit is staffed by all volunteers and has been serving local communities for over twenty-six years; they currently serve six communities with their nine programs. Their thrift shop, a converted bowling alley, is their main source of revenue (along with donations). Donors -- large and small alike -- are impressed with the high rate of return to the community and often maintain ongoing giving relationships. John Hine Mazda and Subaru in Temecula is just one of their major supporters.
Their programs include Operation School Bell (in partnership with local department stores) which clothes thousands of kids for school; Operation Bear Hugs which provides thousands of teddy bears to local hospitals and emergency rooms; Operation SHADES which provides financial literacy classes and resources; Operation Foster Youth which provides resources, activities and other opportunities for foster youth and their families.
Assistance League of Temecula Valley provides grants for teachers and scholarships for students. Last year this totaled almost $50,000.
The non-profit organization also partners with seven other AL chapters in Chapters for Children, providing for low-income military kids. They also provide resources/services and meeting spaces for other non-profits, partnering with them to meet community needs. Their Community Outreach program provides one-time emergency funds to assist those with house fires and accidents.
This is a fiscally-responsible and community-involved non-profit that has been faithfully serving community needs through volunteers for decades.
We have enjoyed a great working relationship with them throughout many of those years and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing their success stories with our tens of thousands of community readers.

It's so nice to have the Assistance League as part of our community. Their shop in Temecula is always well organized and very clean. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I enjoy hunting for unique treasures and the best part is that the money goes to help children. That's a double bonus! They also have many fun events to help raise more funds during the year.
The Assistance League of Temecula Valley is an amazing non-profit that does a lot to help school children in many different facets, from scholarships to clothing. The organization is entirely volunteer driven and they generate most of the revenue through their thrift shop to be able to fund all of their various gifting events.
We are so fortunate to have the Assistance League of Temecula Valley serving Menifee and our local communities. I have been a volunteer, donor, shopper and supporter of them for the past few years. I love knowing that all the donations I bring to their Thrift Shop, and the shopping I do there, goes back out into the community. They are a great group; dedicated, smart, enterprising and caring. If you have checked them out, you should!
These people have been great for our community. As the Mayor of Wildomar, CA we have been supporting this group for many years through our community block grants. It's been my pleasure to know them personally. Love their work on behalf of our children in the Temecula Valley.
Fantastic, helpful and friendly volunteers! The store is well organized and clean. Always a treasure to be found. I love that my purchases help my own community.
In my many years volunteering for charitable organizations, I have found the Assistance League Temecula Valley to be a well-organized pillar for the community. The Thrift Shop is top-shelf, offering quality merchandise at great prices run 100% by volunteer staff.
We have a variety of programs to help at-risk children of our community to grow and thrive. Watching the faces of kids who have never been the first to wear their clothes, picking out a brand new wardrobe is absolutely the best reward I can imagine.
If I didn't have other obligations, I would commit a full-time schedule to the Assistance League, as many of my tireless colleagues do!
I have been a volunteer member of this wonderful organization since June 2016. I started out working a few hours a month in the thrift shop, not wanting to make too big of a commitment of my time. One year later, I was inspired to do more and I joined the board. I am very fortunate and honored to be able to contribute my time to this great cause.
The thrift shop is the main revenue driving contributor, with proceeds going back to local philanthropic programs. One primary program is Operation School Bell (OSB) which benefits students from low income families. It is heart warming to see the joy in the faces of these kids when they walk away with new school clothes. OSB is one of many programs of this local chapter that helps those in need.
The thrift shop is clean, organized, and always has so many nice, quality items. The prices are unbelievable! So many customers have commented about this being one of the best thrift shops they have ever been to.
The organization is run 100% by volunteers. It operates like a small corporation, under the policies and guidelines of National Assistance League.
I am so glad I found my way to Assistance League!
I have volunteered in different non-profits for over 35 years. When I joined the Assistance League of Temecula Valley I was overwhelmed with the attention to detail in all that they do. The formula for success is obvious when you start out sorting clothes and in a year are on the Board. I have met a lot of women who are also retired and still want to contribute to the community in which they live. It is definitely a community based organization. So I can tell my other friends with pride that I help children and others in need right here in our town. I love it!
Review from Guidestar
Thank you Assistance League for helping the community with a great thrift store, Operation School Bell and many other helps. You are number one. Jenny Cartell, a frequent shopper :)
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE this place!
The staff is super friendly and the merchandise is fantastic!
I have come across so many great treasures here and it's very inexpensive. Why would I want to pay $30 for a shirt when I can get at the Assistance League thrift store for $2? Plus, it feels good when I can satisfy my shopping urge and give back to the community at the same time. You have to check this place out!
