Mission: Asian Pacific Women's Center is one of the first transitional housing facilities in the United States to focus on the needs of Asian and Pacific Islander domestic violence survivors by providing culturally sensitive and language appropriate services. This multicultural and multilingual center is building partnerships and working relationships with other Los Angeles community social service providers, job training and employment service providers, medical providers, and legal service providers. Our collective mission is to offer domestic violence survivors and their families a safe haven to acquire the necessary skills and personal strength for self-sufficiency.
Programs: Developed a transitional low-income housing facility and provided an environment that is sensitive to the cultural and language needs of women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence. Also, to create public awareness concerning the incidence and prevention of domestic violence.
