Mission: The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
Programs: Information regarding arthritis is disseminated to the general public through public forums, speaking engagements, seminars, health fairs, and literature requests on a daily basis. In 2010, 1 large public forum was held with an attendance of over 100 attendees. Speaking engagements and seminars were held at a variety of sites, as well as participation in a variety of community, public and corporate health fairs, resulting in approximately 3500 individuals receiving educational information. Our goals include (1) providing awareness of the seriousness of arthritis and empowering the consumer with information on ways to prevent and treat arthritis (2) reaching populations with initiatives to improve the health of those with arthritis and reduce the risk of those who may develop arthritis (3) work in partnership with others organizations and communities to achieve greater influence for our impacted communities and (4) increase the number of people benefiting from evidence-based programs
