Target demographics: LGBT individuals and those who support LBGT life styles
Direct beneficiaries per year: 350 adults experience a safe place to play volleyball.
Geographic areas served: Phoenix, Arizona
Programs: 3 levels of outdoor, sand volleyball play: A, B, and C divisions in 6-man format as well as A/B and B/C divisions in 4-man format. The purpose of Arizona Gay Volleyball Association (AZGV) is to foster local, regional, national and international sports competition predominately for gays, lesbians and anyone dedicated to promotion of the amateur athletic experience for persons of all skill level and abilities regardless of sexual orientation, gender, race, creed, religion or national origin. The primary focus of Arizona Gay Volleyball Association will be to provide venues for adult volleyball competition. Additionally, the organization will endeavor to develop people of all abilities and experience to participate in sports competitions.
