Mission: Engaging the tri state region to impact youth mentally, physically and spiritually.
Programs: The anthony munoz foundation hosted the "impact for eternity" camp in an effort to truly impact youth mentally, physically and spiritually. Anthony invited 150 at risk boys (5th to 8th grade) from cincinnati recreation commission centers, city gospel mission and kingdom football ministries for a free 4 day, 3 night football camp. After learning about anthony munoz's life story, the campers quickly learned what it means to rise above life's circumstances and be a man of integrity.
the youth leadership seminar had 1300 attendees who represented 100 high schools from ohio, kentucky and indiana. The "plugged in" theme inspired over 97 of the high schools in attendance to create a service project for their own schools and communities based off the leadership lessons they learned from the program.
anthony munoz and his family have a strong passion to help provide academic scholarships for deserving tri-state seniors who have aspirations of pursuing a college education. Seven high school seniors each earned 20,000 college scholarships. 170 applications were received.
lineman of the year awards- 16 high school athletes and the overall offensive and defensive lineman of the year were recognized by anthony munoz for demonstrating academic achievement, community involvement, and on-field success. A total of 55 lineman from tri state high schools were nominated for this prestigious award. The straight "a" student program recognized 225 high school students who exhibited academic excellence, athletic achievement and an active role in the community while possessing strong ambition, a winning attitude and the ability to overcome adversity. At the straight "a" luncheon, anthony munoz awarded 5000 academic scholarships to the 2 overall senior winners and 2000 to the remaining 16 finalists for their straight "a" achievements. Hispanic character camp- 100 hispanic male youth attended the weekend long hispanic character camp at the ymca's camp campbell gard. Anthony, coaches and chaperones led the campers in a variety of programs and physical activities that focused on teamwork, character, leadership and the importance of their hispanic heritage. Hall of fame football academy- boys and girls in grades 3rd-8th received coaching from tri state high school coaches and also learned about the importance of character from anthony munoz and other speakers. All of the 500 youth in attendance were on scholarship to attend the camp. Anthony munoz foundation whiz kids program- a partnership was established with city gospel mission's whiz kids program, and the amf adopted roberts padeia academy as their whiz kids tutoring site to reach out to hispanic elementary students. 27 volunteers provide mentoring and one-on-one after school tutoring for k-8th graders to help improve reading and math skills.
