A feral cat showed up in our yard with her kittens in tow. We were told about A Home at Last, we made the call. The next day their volunteer, Dottie, came and dropped off the necessary traps with instructions for trapping the cats. She came and would pick up a cat each time we called. In total there were 6 cats that A Home at Last spayed, neutered and gave shots to! When they were ready to be released Dottie returned them to us. This was all done for a very small fee, which we had coupons for. If we could afford a donation it would have been appreciated! We were happy to donate.
Because of A Home at Last I took in the last kitten that was cared for and the other kittens live in our shed. We have cat beds, fans in the summer, heater in the winter, fresh food and water daily. If A Home at Last hadn’t spayed, neutered and started them off healthy with their necessary shots, we would be over run with kittens that we couldn’t afford to care for! A Home at Last does a great service in taking care of animals that society discards!

We have had 5 feral cats spayed / neutered by A Home at Last! We dealt with a wonderful volunteer, Dottie. She brought everything to us, when we got the cats(one at a time) Dottie came and picked them up. After the procedure was done the cats were also given their shots, Dottie brought them to her house to recover them. When they were ready they were brought back. We now have these adorable cats, who are still feral, living in our yard. They have beds in our shed with heat in the winter and a fan for the summer! We would have loved to bring them in but couldn't, we already have house cats. Our feral cats are now shed cats, well fed and loved.
Thank you Dottie for all of your help and teaching us about living with feral cats!
A Home at Last is one of the best organizations I have dealt with! Thank you to all of the volunteers!
