Mission: Sacred Heart Monastery’s Residential Volunteer Program for Single Women The Residential Volunteer Program (Sponsored by the Yankton Benedictines) provides single women (55 and under) with several opportunities to enhance their lives. Firstly, the program includes sharing in the life, prayer and ministries of the Monastery. Our Mission: Rooted in our rural heritage and growing in relationship with God and one another in monastic community, we live a life of prayer, work, and lectio by which we serve God and God’s people in our time and place.
Results: Since starting in the fall of 2015, Sacred Heart Monastery has given an opportunity to six women ( a seventh for the summer '17) to enhance their lives by sharing int the life, prayer, and ministries of the Sisters.
