I have been involved with the Winn Feline Foundation since the late 1980's. First as a seminar attendee, then as a volunteer and for around 20 years as either a board member or executive director. Winn focuses on improving feline health, maximizing the impact of donor contributions, and we strive to minimize operational costs. Winn has funded many significant feline health studies which have had a major impact on how veterinarian's treat or prevent various diseases. As an organization it has been steadily growing and will continue to make important contributions in the coming years. Winn has a group of dedicated professional volunteers from the veterinary community that help assess the quality and practicality of grant proposals,
Since October 2011 I have had the good fortune to work as the Chief Executive Officer of the Winn Feline Foundation. The Winn Feline Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1968 that supports studies to improve cat health. Since 1968, the Winn Feline Foundation has funded over $4 million in health research for cats at more than 30 partner institutions world-wide. This funding is made possible through the support of dedicated donors. Projects funded by Winn provide information that is used every day to treat cat diseases. Winn has a strong commitment to its mission and the Board of Directors and volunteers commit significant personal time and financial resources to operational activity and expenses. The goal is to bake sure that donor dollars fund research!
