I have been affiliated with The College of Westchester since 1998. As the Associate Director of Students Accounts, I work with students continually to help them realize their dreams and reach their goal of having a college degree. Many of them are just like me, first generation college students. They work hard to overcome challenges both academically and financially so they can earn their degree. I have seen first-hand how The College of Westchester changes lives for the better and elevates students to a new future. The Foundation Scholarship has done so much to help those who work the hardest and need it the most.
As a founding board member of the CWCF I have been privileged to witness the impact of our work. If you believe in education and enjoy seeing students succeed, the CWCF is a great place to devote personal time and attention.

I am a board member for The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation. It is an honor to serve and help change lives. We focus on providing scholarships to students who are looking to fill the gap between costs and available financing. Students who receive a scholarship graduate at an exceptionally high level (over 90%). Many of them are facing everyday challenges like juggling full time work and college. Many are parents of little ones and many are economically challenged. They have a desire for success in common. All donations are impactful as we are a 100% volunteer organization with limited overhead.
The most impressive thing about the College of Westchester Charitable Foundation is their scholarship recipients. Many of the students are their family's first-time college enrollees. The charity enables life changing opportunities. I have attended graduation ceremonies where families bring balloons and signs, cheer and celebrate their graduate. It is a moving experience. I have listened to the stories of hard-working students that have secured well-paying and satisfying jobs because of scholarship aid. This charity should be included as a top-rated nonprofit.

I have been affiliated with The College of Westchester for over a decade and have had the added benefit of one of my children earning an associate degree from the institution. As one of the U.S. News and World Report's 2022 top 20 Regional Colleges in the North, a Top Performer on Social Mobility, and a recently designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the College offers an outstanding education. Through funds raised and distributed by The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation, those in the surrounding communities with limited financial means are provided the opportunity to take advantage of this wonderful education.
So many students have been helped by The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation (CWCF). Scholarships given by CWCF often make all the difference between a student having the financial support to make it all the way and graduate. Students who receive scholarships graduate at more than a 30% higher rate than students who do not have an opportunity for a CWCF scholarship. I believe in this non-profit and so do the scholars who have gone on to many great things! I have been a board member for many years because I have witnessed firsthand the difference this organization makes in the lives of students who have academic ability but lack financial support. As a former member of the Health Professions Advisory Committee and as the Coordinator of the Academy of Medical Professions at Gorton High School in Yonkers, New York, I have the highest praise for the College of Westchester. CW offered college classes to our students, participated in college fairs, and provided input for our high school program. Several of our students entered CW's programs of study and our now graduates. Through the internship program, students left the school with employment at the institutions where they had done their internship

The College of Westchester does a great job in how they teach all their courses. Every course is taught with effectiveness, creativity and targets hands-on skills that are used in the workplace.

The CWCF helps deserving students get that extra boost of financial support that they so need and appreciate to help them pursue and achieve their educational goals. The recipients are typically first time college attendees in their families, have high grades, are driven and embody the essence of intellectual curiosity. Over the past ten years, more than 100 incredible students have received these CWCF scholarships helping them to graduate. In fact, 96%+ of students receiving these scholarships have graduated. That's incredible! If you are in a position to help donate and support these exceptional students, I know they would appreciate it beyond measure. The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation can mean the difference between a student obtaining their degree or not. The foundation provides dollars to students that are in need to continue on with their studies and work toward completion of their degree.
