Mission: Assist all residents of Wabash County, with an emphasis on persons of age 60 and over, by meeting their social, physical, economic and mobility needs.
Programs: Transportation: wabash county transportation provides safe and accessible transportation for people of all ages, abilities and income in wabash county, connecting people to the community by removing transportation barriers due to poverty, disability or age. In 2014 wct provided 34,748 rides to 1,050 riders.
senior center - to provide a location for seniors of wabash county to maintain their health and wellness with access to information about aging and aging services, fellowship with peers, maintaining contacts with the community, intergenerational experiences, low-impact fitness, opportunities to express and explore creativity, lifelong learning, and volunteer opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. 1,792 adults age sixty and over participated in senior center programs and services in 2014. Participants contributed 7,884 volunteer hours. Many of the volunteer hours were provided in the operation of the community cupboard food pantry and the agency's food distribution programs, which provided 462,123 pounds of food to local people of ages in need. 5,757 people of all ages were helped multiple times through the food distribution programs (community cupboard pantry, tailgate food distribution events, fresh produce thursdays and cfsp senior low-income commodity program). The volunteer-managed pantry provided 7,200 dozen eggs, 434,440 pounds of donated food.
