Mission: Corporation was organized to provide transitional assistance housing assistance and related ancillary services to at-risk individuals
Programs: In 2017 vvfrc provided transitional housing, case management and supportive services to san bernardino county homeless individuals and families with focus on the formally incarcerated, homeless residents. We have a 6% recidivism rate compared to the state of californias 61% rate. More than 80% of those exiting our program have exited into permanent housing with a sustainable income. We partner with university of phoenix to provide intern opportunities of undergrad students. Additionally, our partnership with san bernardino community action partnership and feeding america has enabled us to provide food to 562 low-income residents. We also partner with americas job center to provide resume building, job skills and employment. Finally, vvfrc has prevented homelessness to at risk residents by connecting them with san bernardino transitional assistance, economic development departments and other partner agencies to obtain motel vouchers and rental assistance.
