Mission: Provide compassionate advocacy to survivors of domestic violence living on vashon island through support and direct services build a community in which abuse is eliminated and personal empowerment is promoted through prevention education and training.
Programs: Dove supported 33 new clients (equaling about one new client every 10 days) as well as 11 existing clients from last year, and answered 216 hotline calls from 140 people. Over 900 hours of direct advocacy service to abuse survivors. * began a teen dating abuse prevention workshop program engaging island teens. * provided 20 hours of initial advocacy training to 42 islanders & partners. * initiated a men's advocacy group for male survivors of intimate partner violence. * began a once monthly legal clinic for survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault.
