WARRIORS SOAR is based in Shelburne Vermont, and our mission is to assist in the reintegration of wounded military personnel through sporting activities, and outreach. We are a fully registered 501(c)3 and have been in existence for 6 years serving military veterans across America. Our Premiere Event is the annual Boston Baseball Fantasy Camp held in FT. Myers Florida each January. This past January WARRIORS SOAR sponsored 30 wounded military veterans to attend the Baseball Fantasy Camp. The camp participants get training and instruction from former MLB players and coaches, and then get drafter to play in a 6 day tournament. Its fun and competitive environment for all and our wounded military veterans enjoy the camaraderie with fellow wounded military veterans. This past season we had 6 players who were amputees and each were able to compete and play at a high level.
I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with this organization! Shannon and Marty are extremely helpful and supportive of veterans throughout the region!
WARRIORS SOAR is an amazing organization providing activities throughout the country in efforts to end Veteran suicide through support, outreach, assistance and recovery. This is clearly an organization that cares and continues to built programs for disabled veterans.
I became actively involved with Warriors Soar in 2019 as a volunteer who runs a charity golf event in Georgia. We have been fortunate enough to raise over $375,000 to date. I have seen first hand how the simple idea of engaging veterans in need with other veterans and non veterans in activity based programs can have a life changing positive impact. One of the key programs is sending veterans to a baseball fantasy camp each year. we have sent over 20 veterans since our first year. the impact of spending one week with other veterans, playing baseball and being taught by former pro's is truly an experience they will never forget. the camaraderie and relationships that are formed help jump start the healing process...It is life changing for sure!
Warriors Soar is one of the best Veteran non-profits in our country right now. The experience I had with them at the Major League Fantasy Camp in Ft Myers, Florida was an experience of my lifetime. I have played baseball my entire life and I'm 52 years old. I had always dreamed of going to a camp but was never able to make it happen. Either the timing was bad while being active duty or life got in the way or it was just too expensive. Needless to say Warriors Soar made it happen. The timing lined up and they paid the entire trip for me. I had the week of my life and it was all due to them! There will never be enough words to express my gratitude to them for what they've done for me. The experience of being with my fellow Veterans and seeing their joy of being on the diamond again meant the world to me. It definitely ranked up there as one of the greatest times in my life. Thank you Warriors Soar for your amazing pride in taking care of America's Veterans. Your work does not go unnoticed!
Warriors Soar events and sponsorships have been excellent. I play on a baseball team with several veterans and several Purple Heart recipients. Warriors Soar helps veterans have a community to lean on as they re-integrate into life back home. Athletics is one way they help veterans reintegrate. Athletics creates an important bond among teammates, and our team has a sponsorship from the warriors soar to help promote their activities and their mission. Having conversations with my teammates that have served has widened my perspective and I believe in the assistance that warriors soar offers. Their work is important, unyielding, and beneficial to the wounded warriors they are assisting. We need more of this type of nonprofit effort in our communities. I am honored to wear their logo on our jersey to help promote their mission and their members.
As a veteran, I appreciate their commitment to making sure veterans are represented and have a place to go for help.
WARRIORS SOAR is sponsoring the Louisville Slugger - Amputee Baseball Team to play against the WARRIORS SOAR - All Military Disabled team in San Antonio Texas this July20th. This is an excellent way to promote camaraderie, healing and outreach to wounded military veterans across America. We have been working closely with the local community , military sponsors and Minor League Baseball to make this an exceptional event.
I have seen first hand the remarkable work WARRIORS SOAR has been doing to assist in the healing and reintegration of our wounded heroes through support, outreach, assistance and recovery. Their programs include fishing, sailing, golfing, indoor golf, ice fishing, snowshoeing and a 7 day baseball fantasy camp in Ft. Myers, FL.
Warriors S.O.A.R. helps veterans connect with each other on a front other than the battlefield. It's a great organization that has benefited the veterans, particularly wounded, ill, and injured veterans, in numerous ways. It teaches them a skill that they can (and many do) use during and after transitioning and also helps veterans connect with each other on a front other than the battlefield. When you can build that into an organization it's an invaluable sustaining factor and worthwhile investment into the lives of vets.
This is more than a camp, this is a way to give back to someone that has given himself/herself for their country.
Warriors SOAR is a great organization built on Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Truly great support of all the warriors that have went in harms way to secure our freedom. I gladly support this organization year after year. I am a disabled veteran and truly appreciate everything this organization does.

The SOAR program is an awesome organization that helps our veterans and active duty members interact and be a part of functions to help not just warriors past present and future but also raise awareness on the veteran suicide rate. SOAR is exceptionally special because of its military backed founders who understand that service members can and will fall into some not so bright mental and emotional state of minds. The best organization I am proud to say I have worked with and am a part of!!!
Semper Fi !!!
This organization is awesome, they have helped so many of or veterans that are on my baseball team. The support they have given us is so important to our physical and mental health. Thank you SOAR for everything you do.
Warriors Soar is an awesome organization that is getting Service members and veterans out of house and filling normal again.

What truly resonates with me about Warriors SOAR is their unwavering dedication to fostering a sense of camaraderie and community among combat veterans. Through support groups, peer mentoring, and social activities, Warriors SOAR creates a safe and nurturing environment where soldiers can connect with others who share similar experiences. This sense of belonging is instrumental in helping combat veterans overcome isolation and forge new meaningful relationships.
Warriors Soar truly cares about Veterans because they are Veterans. The Soar community is growing and active with many programs for Vets. My favorite is the sailing but golf and Baseball Fantasy Camp are very enjoyable too. For me it's a group I can be myself.

Warrior Soar is an outstanding organization reaching veterans throughout the country. In the year that I have participated, as a volunteer, I have witnessed the profound effect these programs have had and I’ve listened to the personal stories of those veterans who have regained a positive outlook on life. Shannon Blake works tirelessly in his pursuit to involve the community in supporting this band of wounded warriors! A top notch organization!
Warriors SOAR is a phenomenal organization who supports veterans through sports and community. Through their programs they build camaraderie and trust that so many veterans lack after leaving service.
Warriors SOAR is helping veterans every day! Have watched them sponsor dozens of recent (and not so recent) vets over the past year in different environments and they have consistently come through for the individual. Seeing these young men and women enjoy themselves at a golf event and fantasy camp baseball activities was very enlightening to me. Thoroughly appreciate the activities and counseling that Shannon and his team provide to all these veterans. Very inspiring!
My father is a part of this incredible organization and I have seen how wonderful it has been for him! The events that are put on by Warrior Soar are inspirational and fun to be a part of. I got to experience the crowd at the Brandon Carnival and hear my dad tell his story and the story of Warrior Soar to other veterans and civilians. Not only did he get energized talking about it, the people listening were really interested in the program and wanted to learn more. It’s so great to have some positivity around our veterans and to see it directly impact someone I love. Thanks for all you do!
Warrior soar is so amazing for what it does for our disabled veterans. My husband went to ft Myers with them to play baseball with some former Red Sox players and I saw such a change in him being around a great group of people that can relate to him as to what he has been through . Makes them realize that they are not alone out there that they have each other’s back . So anytime they need to talk they have someone there . I know I have seen a change when he’s around this group that is very positive.
The organization has not only become helpful to me it feels like family. The programs they provide to veterans are incredibly rewarding and allows me to discuss anything.
From golfing to baseball fantasy camp to sailing and other programs they all allow for outstanding support and recovery
Warriors SOAR is a fantastic organization. They have helped so many veterans connect and find healthy ways to reintegrate. With a focus on preventing veterans suicide this organization and the work they do is essential. Providing various opportunities such as sailing, golf, fishing, Boston baseball fantasy camp, etc... Warriors SOAR helps connect veterans and assist them through difficult times and recovery.
Great organization, helping veterans get some fun and amazing experiences that might not be possible for them any other way!
While volunteering for Warrior S.O.A.R. at one of its annual golf tournament events, I discovered how much thought is given to ensure a positive memorable experience for both tournament participants and volunteers.
During discussions concerning finances, I've been impressed by the focus on ensuring veterans benefit from all the efforts of fundraising. I've not heard anyone behind the scenes suggesting enriching themselves, something that happens too often in various organizations, to include nonprofits. Warrior S.O.A.R. is doing the good work as advertised!
First met these guys helping out on a golf course. Next thing we’re working on community building projects. Great guys that work to help make the community more welcoming as well as inviting.
They do important work.
Working alongside Warriors SOAR personnel, Shane, Brian, Joe and Tammy, was an honourable experience to see how they interact with Veterans struggling in society. To see how the general public responded to them and supporting Grumpy's Dogs to benefit their cause. An amazing group of people.

And the Michigan's were great! thanks Darryl Graham!
I’ve been an Alumni of Warrior S.O.A.R. for 4 years. In that time I’ve traveled the country to events with a band of brothers that just continues to grow year after year. Every few months we get together and laugh until our faces hurt. There seems to be a few new members every year that become part of the platoon. That’s what veterans at Warrior S.O.A.R realize. We get together and have fun all the time. However, there is a very serious element between some veterans that understand the concept of rebuilding your platoon mentality. We talk, we dig in and see what’s going on in the veterans life. We support each other through all of our connected resources in the veterans space. It’s an organization that builds veterans back up through any means necessary and gives them a community that understands them. I’ve found my platoon again and I encourage other veterans to attend Warrior S.O.A.R. Events in the future.
Great non-profit working towards helping veterans getting back on their feet and showing them they are still important. This group is always looking for ways to help and have great attitudes throught everyone in the organization. Without them, i may not be here today thanks to one of their sports programs.
My name is Timothy Howley, USN (ret), 24 year veteran and I was introduced to Warriors Soar in 2018 and I have been engaged and involved with this great non-profit organization since that time.
This organization has helped me connect with other veterans from all five branches of the service while playing in the annual Boston Baseball Fantasy Camp.
I have met some fantastic and energetic veterans throughout my time with being involved. I do have the opportunity in getting together annually because I do live in Fort Myers, Florida where the baseball event is hosted.
I would strongly recommend this organization to any and all veterans that are looking for a way to reconnect with society and to better themselves and would strongly encourage them to get their families involved as well.
Warriors SOAR is a great program for veterans. It has provided me with the opportunity to participate in many programs like Golf, Sailing. The best thing is the camaraderie with all my brothers. Many thanks to all the sponsors, and volunteers that make this organization a great resource for Veterans.
Since I have been on board with Warrior SOAR I have seen first hand the great work they have done for our Men and Women of our US Military. From send Veterans to Boston Red Sox fantasy camp to Cruisees out on Lake Champlain. I am proud to be a part of this great non-profit organization. Veterans helping Veterans.
Thanks to Shannon and Warriors Soar for the hard work, efforts and events to help in assisting our Veterans! Means a lot to so many, happy to share and help. Giving back by all helps so many who deserve!
Warriors SOAR is a great program for Veterans and has provided me with the opportunity to participate in programs like the Boston Baseball Fantasy Camp, golf outings, and other events around the NE area. Shannon Blake's vision for where Warriors SOAR is headed and the impact that it will have for fellow Veterans is amazing and I am happy that I was able to meet and connect with others through their programs. Many thanks to all of the volunteers, and sponsors who make this organization a fantastic resource for Veterans.
Warriors SOAR is a great program for veterans. With programs such as their participation in the Baseball Fantasy Camp, golf outings, tickets to sporting events in Vermont, and their amazing sail boat, Warriors SOAR is here for veterans. Thank you to all of the people who make this organization a fantastic resource for veterans.
I was deployed with MAJ Blake to Afghanistan in 2003. Since being back we lost multiple Warriors as they couldn’t deal with reality any longer. I too have found myself in these situations over the years. Last year MAJ Blake had invited me to the Red Sox Fantasy Camp and I accepted not knowing much about it at all. I’ve been an Advid Sox Fan since I was born. When I got to the Hotel to check in, I see many familiar faces that I watched play ball for years. It was mind blowing seeing these professional gamers. Then to actually meet and just be buddies with the likes of Lenny Dinardo, Keith Folk and Alan Embree who where instrumental in Reversing the curse in 2004. These and many more professionals were amazing to actually hang out and talk with you like you’ve known each other for years. All I can say is this program gave me a new outlook on everyday life. Looking forward to this camp every year gives me that outlet that is much needed. Thank you warriors Soar for the great opportunity to stop worrying all the time.
Warriors Soar is a fantastic organization. They have assisted me with treatment and provided me with amazing opportunities. Can't say enough about this wonderful group. Thank you!
I’m a 100% disabled vet, both physically and mentally. I spent most of my time in the basement and rarely left the house except for medical appointments.
I had met Shannon Blake previously and he called one day. He knew I had been going through a pretty rough time and offered me a once in a lifetime opportunity to play baseball with some Red Sox greats down at Spring Training in Florida! Who wouldn’t want to jump on that kind of opportunity? Me apparently. I hemmed and hawed. Fat and out of any kinda shape but round. Haven’t played baseball since high school. I’d just embarrass myself, yada yada yada.
Shannon kept pitching it to me. It’s fun, not competitive, get me out of gloomy New England and into Florida sunshine (I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder), plus I already knew him so I wouldn’t be alone. Fine.
Folks, it was one of the greatest times of my life. I met some of my childhood heroes. Played ball with them, smoked cigars with them, just sat and BS’d with them and I’m the other participants. And they treated us veterans like celebrities.
There are other examples of events I’ve participated in , but here’s my favorite part of Warrior SOAR, and that’s the personal connection Shannon ensures to make with everyone he meets.
He has called me many, many times over the years checking in on me.
Major Shannon Blake and Warriors Soar is an amazing organization that helps re integrate our Vets back into society. He needed the help and now he’s helping his brothers in the same way. Whether sailing on Lake Champlain or hitting the fantasy baseball camps, they are making a true difference and providing a much needed service for our Vets who allow us to live our lives as we do!
An amazing organization giving back to veterans with disabilities through Support, Outreach, Assistance, and Recovery. Providing programs and services that assist in the healing and reintegration of our Wounded Heroes. Boston Baseball Fantasy Camp, Sailing, Golfing, indoor and outdoor golfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, outreach events, military family day, UVM hockey games, concerts with meet and greets, counseling and VA assistance.
