I want to review my expiriance with this organization but I'm going to hold back my whole review until I'm totally through my expiriance with them. First off I want to say all the other reviews coincidentally came all in the same month in 2017. Its 2020 and nothing in ways of reviews since. I currently am going through a personal struggle to get any kind of assistance. Food housing or financial in any way. I have been denied with the letter stating I didn't give them proof of employment. And that's because as i stated in the letter I sent that the last income was in september after my unemployment expired. Now I got money since then from unbelievable family members that help me from going into forclolosure. And I did not want assistance from anyone until I needed it. Which means I have no money coming in and obviously going out as well. And it all started from a death in the family, taking time off before he past, then I'm currently in a wrongful termination lawsuit with my employer that my union is defending me on. And now I am trying to find a psychologist for all of this struggle just to sort through some possible personal issues stemming from the mounting pressure of all this assistance issues and unemployment, no nutritional assistance. I could go on and on. I will say I'm not a combative person what so ever. Actually I'm quite the opposite. I will send in all my paperwork nice and folded with a detailed letter. I will comply to all things needed of me. I've looked for jobs and done interviews with no call backs and thats mainly because of my lack of quality phone connection. Which I applied for assistance and gotten denied for that as well. For the last 8 months. I'm not one to ever ask for help until it is needed. Well it's been going on looking for help since september now. And I can honestly say I have had no assistance what so ever. But I will say their is a woman in the snap program that is constantly and continues to try in every way to help me. I wish I could let her name out on here. But that lady is the only reason I continue to try for assistance. She should be the next president of the united states. I don't care. The only photos I would summt would be of my applications and m ugh letter stating my issues that I sent them. But as I said I'm reserving my full review until it's all done and said with. I will post a 5 star in Hope's people actually read this review and because I'm not giving them a 1 star because I can't say what if any services they will help me with. Thank you included is a picture showing the first dates assistance application that I sent in for assistance. I kept the whole print out and keep it for records just incase I forget the things u need to pay back to them.
Review from Guidestar
This agency has for 50 years done so many wonderful things for families in the three counties it serves. I have have seen and heard stories from clients who have benefited from receiving food, shelter emergency child care in crisis, and help with heating in the cold months of Minnesota. We have employees and board members who have received the benefit of CAP and now give back. I am very proud to be a board member and a donor for this outstanding organization.
What I admire the most about the Scott-Carver-Dakota CAP Agency is the dedication of the staff and the administration in serving those who are in need. The financial resources are hard to come by, but the community is willing to be there with their support to help those less fortunate to transition from hard times into self sufficiency. Our gratitude goes to the employees of the Agency for their hard work to assist those in dire need.

I have served on the CAP Board for a number of years. It is by far one of the most amazing organizations I have been associated with. The people are the heart and soul of the organization and they truly care about the clients they are serving. So very many families receive help and support from Head Start to Housing to Energy Assistance and more. It has been and honor and a privilege to serve on the Board. Without CAP, Carver, Dakota and Scott counties would be tremendously underserved.

I am always amazed at the scope of services offered by the CAP Agency. From Early Head Start to housing assistance to senior dining, they really do strive to serve people at all stages of life. Their staff are dedicated and knowledgeable and truly there to serve others. It's an incredible organization that does a wonderful job with partnering with other organizations in the community in order to best serve clients.
