I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Ruthless Kindness over the past three years. Their commitment to their mission of addressing the epidemic of violence and preventable suffering for at-risk animals and people and the way they operate is truly inspiring.
Generosity: The team at Ruthless Kindness is exceedingly generous, always going above and beyond to support community members in their moments of crisis.
Kindness: Their approach is rooted in kindness (obviously), fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone involved. However, kindness does not indicate weakness. The RK team is ruthless in their pursuit of justice and doing the next right thing.
Effectiveness: They are incredibly effective in their work, making a tangible impact on survivors of domestic violence (human and animal alike) who find themselves in desperate situations.

Mission: Our mission is to address the epidemic of violence and preventable suffering in at-risk animals and people.
Results: Ruthless Kindness veterinarians began volunteering their time in 2017, and, due to overwhelming need, incorporated in 2019. Since launching, Ruthless Kindness has provided support to over 1000 victims of domestic violence with pets with free mobile veterinary care, free pet boarding or foster, and free pet food & supplies. 50% of domestic violence victims with pets won't leave their abusive situation for fear of being separated from their pets. Our services are designed to make sure both the person and their animals can get to safety.

Programs: free mobile veterinary care, free urgent care vet appointments, pet fostering, telemedicine, wellness clinics on-site at human service agencies, training, assistance for human shelters in becoming pet-friendly, free pet food and supplies for clients
