Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Children & Youth, Human Services, Public & Societal Benefit, Religion, Youth Development Programs
Mission: Empower a Child brings confidence and self-sustainability to orphaned and vulnerable children of Uganda by teaching modern skills, giving the opportunity of education, and enlightening through the word of God. We do this thru donations and Western and national volunteers. Our goal is to empower these children to become productive citizens of their own country.
Results: We have 120 children being sponsored in school.
Target demographics: Children 1 to 18, who are disadvantaged by either loss of parents or poverty.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We found sponsors for 60 more children to attend school for a total of 120. We purchased land to build a School and Vocational Center.
Geographic areas served: East Africa
Programs: Child sponsorship program - providing education, provisions for healthcare & basic needs for orphans & vulnerable children in east africa.
mission & outreach program - provide spiritual guidance, life training advice, community clean up & construction to children & youth of east africa.
