Mission: The compassion institute's ("ci") mission is to become a global advocate for compassion education. Ci's knowledge-based resources will support a growing network of compassion educators and promote public awareness of the importance of compassion to individual human happiness as well as societal and community well-being. Ci recognizes an urgent need to help people in professions particularly vulnerable to empathy "burnout" (ex: healthcare workers, k-12 educators, law enforcement, social services, community action, palliative care, veterans support) either as individuals or through their respective organizations. By highlighting the societal and personal benefits of compassionate mindsets and behavior and by furthering the quality and public availability of proven personal compassion cultivation training globally, ci serves the well-being of all humanity.
