I have had the privilege of fostering and volunteering with Runaways Animal Rescue in Port Richey, FL, and I can say without hesitation that this organization is something truly special. What sets Runaways apart is their unwavering commitment to every animal that comes through their doors. In a world where so many rescues have to make impossible choices, Runaways has built a culture and a network that allows them to say yes — yes to the overlooked, the medically complex, the scared, and the hard-to-place. That is not an easy thing to do, and it speaks volumes about the heart behind this organization. As both a foster, and a volunteer the staff is supportive every step of the way. If you're looking for a rescue to support, please consider volunteering, fostering, donating, or adopting from The Runaways Animal Rescue. The level of care and dedication from this amazing group of people is nothing short of inspiring.

This review is in response to "justno".<br><br>I personally speak to this animal rescue and the partnering pet supplies plus that you are referring to and also know the kittens that you are insinuating will be at the store forever.<br><br>What you have typed in your review is not accurate.<br><br>The rescue said that they checked all their emails, text messages and applications for the month of March, and nothing came up with anyone trying to adopt 2 kittens from that store location.<br>And you never filled out the standard online application, so how could you even be disgruntled regarding the process when you didn't start the process?<br><br>The store employees and management along with the poster printed sign, all point to a completed application (first come first serve) a text messaging phone (not a vm phone) and a secondary contact of an email address to conntect to, along with the listed website.<br><br>According to the animal rescue administration, adoptions coordinator, store volunteers, nothing in writing about your interest in 2 of the kittens was ever sent in.<br>If you were reaching a vm and not getting a response, it's possibly because the process is "application, text and email".<br><br>According to the rescue, no applications had been received for those kittens at the time of your complaint.<br><br>You say that you are professionals, then why post an "unmerited one sided review"?<br><br>I saw the rescues reply to email them to talk, have you done that? Maybe they never received anything from you? Maybe when the cell phone service shut down recently affecting thousands, maybe they were one of them?<br>Did you fill out the application like the sign and website read?<br>In doing so, that's how they say they can assure that each application is received in a timely order.<br><br>I dont know ... something just seems off regarding your reveiw (justno, justdoesntseemright).<br>And the donations you said "that those are all that they care about?<br>Are you talking about the same store?<br><br>The store has an area in the front with 4 different 18x18x18 bins (if even that large) and they are collecting animal food and animal supplies in those bins that are divided to 4 different rescues.<br><br>No where on the bins or in the store is a place for cash, check or charge donating.<br>Those bins are not for cash checks or any money for that matter and they are weekly divided up with 4 different organizations, the store management knows that. <br>Professionally speaking, I would think that you would ask the store about their policy regarding those animal rescue donations before posting "mis leading information" that's simply not accurate.<br><br>I'm just surprised that you would put the words "professionals" while filling out a review that isn't even factual.<br><br>To anyone reading this review that might be thinking about reading the review "justno".<br><br>"Justdont"<br><br>Do yourself a favor and don't even waste your time reading it, because it's already been verified as "non factual".<br><br>And to "great not for profits", "justtakeitdown", because it's verified "justnottrue".<br>Thank you and "justsad", that people would give a poor review when they didn't even follow the detailed outline and advise for the organizations adoption process <br><br>I included an adoptions event photo of them from their social media site ...<br>This is the same store that the complaint came from, can you see those baskets on the table?<br><br>Those are free raffle basket giveaways from that stores donations (products valued up to $150) <br>By the way, the raffle tickets were free! <br><br><br>

This small charity is active in Pinellas and Pasco counties in Florida, raising tens of thousands of dollars for local charities. Supported by regional celebrities and and volunteers, there are no paid employees.

PBHR consists of extremely dedicated volunteers & fosters families who together work to assist in saving the lives of animals. Although the focus has been on the Pit Bull, PBHR will step up and save any breed when they can. There is also an emphasis on education of the breed and fighting BSL. I am proud to be part of this team!

As a volunteer, I have learned that the Lighthouse is a wonderful organization that helps people in need - the visually impaired. They have a loving and compassionate staff. They are experts in what they do and help the visually impaired from babies to seniors. There is a great need for their services., and they everything they can to help.
