Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch is nothing short of amazing! The work they do in the Tampa Bay area is critical to so many veterans. Their purpose is to get veterans out, and be active. Mike Delancey and his son Mike Jr are passionate about helping veterans through adaptive sports and the impact they make is beyond measure.
This year, as a Bucs season ticket holder, I was able to nominate WWAR to be the beneficiary of any fundraising efforts from the Buccaholics, which is a non-profit fan group that helps bring awareness through giving back throughout the football season. This year Buccaholics has teamed up with WWAR to help bring awareness and gain exposure to those who may not know what they do, or where they're located. A lot of people assume WWAR is affiliated with Wounded Warriors Project and they are two separate charities. It's been an honor and a privilege to help WWAR gain support and make an impact in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding communities.

Great non-profit with a great family behind it. Every event is on point. Love to be at each and every event they have. From January to December WWAR is hard at work for our Veterans!
Got to see this organization firsthand and was very impressed. I loved to see this well-oiled machine running. They did not miss a beat, and every detail was covered. The wheelchair rugby players are very impressive to watch, and they all had great attitudes. I will definitely be out to watch whenever they have a rugby game.
volunteered for an event a couple months ago and was impressed by all the people. From the top to the bottom the company is fun and friendly and makes me want to volunteer for them again in the near future. I can't wait to see what their next event is.
Love seeing WWAR Rolling Warriors play Wheelchair Rugby. These athletes are amazing at best. WWAR is great for getting these guys out to play a sport that they love to play. The organization is run professionally, and they think of all the players when preparing them for any activity.
WWAR is a great organization to get our veterans out and active. Family operated and treats everyone like their family. Love working with them and volunteering at every event.
I have been involved in wheelchair sports for the past 30 years. During this time I have been involved with several programs in other states that provide services for the disabled. Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch meets and in many ways exceeds the services offered in other locations. The family atmosphere and welcoming attitudes inspire all involved to succeed and push themselves to achieve higher goals and get more involved with the community. GREAT organization!
Alway a good time when volunteering with WWAR. The organization is top notch in helping veterans get out in the community and active with sport/events.
I've been fortunate enough to have participated in numerous WWAR events and they do a fantastic job. Getting people with disabilities back participating in community events, especially recreational activities, is so important. Thanks for changing people's lives!

Great organization for our veterans. The organization is run professionally with a family environment
“ with over 30 years experience in adaptive sports, i’ve never been involved with, nor have I ever seen any other organization providing the resources and support it gives to its members. With the low overhead it has, WWAR put those resources into the numerous programs they have that literally changes peoples lives for the better “
WWAR has gone above any organization I've worked with. The events they host and trips they take Vets on are always top notch! Fantastic group to be associated with!
I became involved with WWAR several years ago as my Daughter is a friend of the Delanceys. This organization has come a long way and continue to thrive with the help and support of kind hearted people. They strive to get veterans out and active and provide a place and functions for all to attend so they can be a part of the community and not feel held back by any disability. I am so proud to be a part of this organization and watch them grow and help everyone in the community get the word out that anything is possible!

WWAR is a great non-profit organization geared towards getting Veterans and their families out and active. They hold events and fundraisers which enables them to continue on their journey of building the Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch in Pinellas Park. Everything they do is for others and from the heart. They are a wonderful group of indivuals working for a great cause. Check out their website WWAR15.org and support them and their mission any way you can!!
I joined WWAR around 4 years ago as a way to give back to my community. Immediately Mike, Michael, and Sherry made me feel like part of their family. Because of their welcoming and positive attitudes and because of Michael's resistance, strength, and encouragement towards other veteran's and their needs, I will remain an active volunteer with my WWAR family as long as I can.
I have volunteered at several of the WWAR events. Mike does a fantastic job in organizing the event and arranged transportation to help the guys and gals get to and from. Just a great organization.
This charity is amazing! They have been able to help wounded warriors do so much, from something so small as to going on the beach in a motorized carrier, to playing wheelchair sports like Rugby. They are run by a dedicated personnel, who are so generous. They are really helping the people in their community, while raising awareness for the disabled. They are also showing disabled people, that they are able to do so many things, just differently.
I have been working with this organization since 2015 when it started .
The passion and dedication shown by the founders - CEO / COO Mike and Michael Delancey is inspiring . Their primary focus is to inspire veterans with injuries to find something they enjoy , socialize, get motivated and back into the community . Now expanding into the adaptive sports world it has enabled them to broaden their reach to the whole adaptive community in Tampa Bay.
WWAR is an incredible organization that gives back in the biggest way. The Delancey's give with everything they have and have an ability to bring people together like nothing I have ever seen. I wish there were more Delancey's in the world.
WWAR has been a pleasure to be a part of. They’ve done so much for vets with their adaptive sports program and outings. Looking forward to what’s to come in the future!

WWAR adaptive sports program is top notch and has been very successful on and off the courts!

I have have seen this foundation do so much for veterans and their community! They are an incredibly loving and strong foundation in the way they care about their mission and go out of their way for veterans and people in the community. From a beautiful park for the community to sponsoring adaptive sports teams to get veterans out and active and even getting veterans and their families out to sporting events. Also helping families at Christmas time!!! Just an all around great foundation that I'm honored to be with!!!
Wonderful nonprofit that truly impacts the lives of so many veterans! Job well done Mike Delancey and WWAR team!
WWAR is one of very few nonprofit organizations that supports, provides for and follows through for not just our disabled and injured veterans but also the disabled of our public communities. They have been a great support system for me, my family and friends with words and a creed to stand by, as only a Marine would have it.
My husband and I cannot praise wounded warrior enough! They have done so much for my husband and our family. At the drop of a hat they drove over an hour to deliver us a beach chair so my husband and I could show our daughter the ocean for the first time. It was a priceless memory. They constantly check in to make sure we are doing okay and have everything we need, especially when traveling for Wheelchair rugby. We have been involved with a few nonprofits but none of them show the care, love and true dedication to helping veterans like Wounded Warrior Abilities Ranch. I am forever grateful for everything they do for my family, my husband and all Veterans.
WWAR is changing lives for the better everyday! Their adaptive sports program, and amazing park are providing priceless opportunities for veterans and civilians to get out and active at any level. It is an honor to be a part of this organization, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds!
Great organization, WWAR has helped me get out and be active with adaptive sports and social gatherings. With access of the WWAR park, wounded veterans are able to train a variety of different sports from Handcycling, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and softball. Come on out and get active!
Top notch organization. They really do go above and beyond, what anyone would expect, to make the experience the best it can be. I have been involved with a few organizations over the last 10 years, this is the only one that has felt like family. Keep doing what you're doing Mike and Mike. If you build it THEY will come!

Wounded warriors abilities ranch has done so much for me. Including bring me a beach chair on the weekend so I could go to the beach with my family. Not to mention sponsoring the best wheelchair rugby team I have been on in 15 years. Thank you WWAR.
I had the great pleasure of meeting this organization and the group who runs it. I was immediately interested in helping in any way possible......well a few years later, and I still can’t get enough of WWAR!
Their mission is extremely vital to all of the veterans and those with disabilities in getting them out and being active. I’ve heard several stories from those on the rugby team and their spouses and the stories are both moving and inspirational!
My hats off to these guys! Great work you’re doing!
As a volunteer, this organization is top notch. I always feel good to give support to veterans and this organization. WWAR has the vision to get veterans out and active! Looking forward to many more events!!
What they have built for the community and our veterans is absolutely amazing! This park inspires veterans to get out and be active. Wwar is now full steam ahead on adaptive sports for wheelchair bound athletes I can’t tell you how much this organization means to me. Thanks for all your doing Mike and Mike!
I've seen first hand the work they do for veterans and their families, it's awesome. The park that they have constructed for veterans is second to none.
The group at WWAR provide many different opportunities for veterans. One of the events I participate in was the flag football game with Mike Alstott. It was awesome. The WWAR take in considerations for all the needs for The Vets and make their experiences enjoyable for them and their families. Thank you WWAR love you guys and hope to see more of you guys in the future.
I have been involved with almost every monthly wheelchair basketball and hand cycle clinic. Every month I have a "feel good" story that comes from the event. Most of the time it is from seeing a new person getting out and getting involved in some way. Sometimes it is giving someone the thrill of riding a bike again. Sometimes it is watching someone getting their game on with the basketball. Many times there are things learned from each other on how to live a full life in a wheelchair. People are not born with knowledge of how to function independently in a chair, so getting involved with activities with their more experienced peers can give so much improvement to quality of life. The Ranch has such a variety of activities that most everyone should be able to get involved with something that they have interest in. The Delanceys have put so much effort into the park, just to give back to those that have sacrificed for all of us. The park is not limited to the veterans or disabled, it is open for all to enjoy together.
I joined the Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch for their "Challenge". Being married to a veteran, I was more than proud to help this organization. I had a blast doing the challenges, seriously, a blast and knowing that I was helping to bring focus to this organization was the best. I have learned alot, prayed alot and after this event, I intend to continue helping our American Warriors . No greater love has a man than one that sacrifices for his/her country.
