Operation Sharing TN (OST), Oneida, TN began as a branch of Christian Appalachian Ministries in a leaky old warehouse with no electricity or water but with determination and grit survived the winter before finding and moving into a better facility. Operating that first year with all volunteers and no expenses, this organization was able to provide much needed items to the people on the Cumberland Plateau in the Tennessee and Kentucky area. The new facility had expenses of utilities and a new part-time manager and staff were hired with local banks and businesses covering the costs as the program has continued to grow and distributes millions of dollars of much needed products. These items are distributed free of charge and cannot be sold, traded or bartered. Schools, churches, civic groups, clubs, etc receive such needed items as bottled water, building supplies, furniture, food, books, clothing, etc. Non-profits of the Cumberland Plateau may become members and make regular appointments for these items that help families in need. Donations are always welcomed.
