Mission: Friends of Moldova is an official member group of the National Peace Corps Association. We believe that local communities understand their own needs and aspirations best, so we feel the community must be the primary force behind the project. To meet its mission, we financially support small, community-driven projects in Moldova. We structure our organization in a way to fully utilize the vast network of action-oriented community members, in-country Peace Corps Volunteers, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and Friends of Moldova members. The support of our members and other donors empowers local community members to take direct action to resolve problems in their community. Our system enables us to provide grants in a simple, quick and accountable way to ensure that necessary funding is provided immediately and is used effectively
