Mission: My sisters house is a nonprofit organization that provides services, programs, and resources to empower victims of domestic violence and their children to be free from abuse.
Programs: Maintain a shelter for battered women and their children serving the berkeley, charleston, and dorchester counties in south carolina. Provide advocacy programs to support and inform victims regarding legal issues and procedures. Provide outreach services to victims to educate victims and the community about domestic violence. To provide education and therapy activities to adults and children who are victims of domestic violence from ages 0-17. Provide case management, counseling and therapy to domestic violence victims residing in shelter. Provide in-shelter group services and one-on-one counseling and/or therapy sessions to victims of domestic violence.

This program includes facilitating community support groups for victims, the coordination of various fund raising events to secure funds needed to provide the overall operations of all services, grant writing/grant management in order to maintain the staff needed to provide these services, and support group facilitation for our community-based support groups.
