Mission: The mission of the Erika Kate Foundation is to help ease the emotional, spiritual and financial burdens borne by parents of children with life-threatening heart disease.
Results: Since 2007 we have been able to increase the number of heart families we serve year through the generosity of our donors. This year can be even more successful with your help.
Target demographics: familes with a child who has a life-threatening heart condition, with a prolonged hospitalization of greater than three weeks initially
Geographic areas served: National
Programs: We generally offer short-term financial assistance to families of children with life-threatening heart conditions, particularly those in the midst of a heart-related medical crisis or prolonged hospitalization. We also have a network of “Care Teams.” These volunteers offer emotional and spiritual support to families in the thick of a medical crisis with their child. Most of this interaction is carried out via email and phone conversations.
