We just love having Pam and Matt come minister at our school. I can't begin to say all the wonderful things they do. They share relevant examples that students and staff can understand. Very practical illustrations. They care and invest whole-heartedly with the students. Everything they say and do points to our Lord and Saviour. Coastlands has completely changed my life both physically and eternally! They visited my school since first grade and taught me many valuable lessons! In the past few years I have been in a different state and school. In those years my faith has dramatically grown! I often have happy memories of them visiting and also often remember their teachings. Although I no longer see them physically they remain a part of me and my faith. I like to think of people as little collages made out of the things that shaped us set in a picture frame made in God's image. In my collage I see a chunk dedicated to my faith as a Christian, little copies of Mr. Huffman and Dr. Brady' photos are both there! As the principal of a Christian school for many years, I had the privilege of having Coastlands come to minister at our school. Their messages were life-changing to many of our students. Their commitment to the ministry of speaking into the lives of young people is effective and commendable.
As a freshman in college, I was looking for an opportunity to serve others and grow during winter break. My experience with Coastlands Consultants was unforgettable; they believe in their team, and they believe in the people they're serving. Already on day one, I was challenged to lead music and activities with youth because CC believes in the Lord who makes people worthy. The vulnerability and friendships that formed between students and us as volunteer leaders was incredibly rewarding; this team is full of laughter and song. 10/10 experience- many tireless nights but the devotion of the team and joy experienced with CC is totally worth it. Love their heart, and love how they serve the community.

I spent ten years as headmaster of a Christian school in eastern Maine. It was a privilege to have Coastlands Consultants provide leadership training, professional development, peer support, and spiritual emphasis weeks at the school almost every year I was there. Although I work elsewhere now, Coastlands still goes there year after year, mentoring, discipline, challenging, and encouraging the students and staff. They also maintain contact with the young people they have served over the years, building up the body of Christ to walk in His ways.
I volunteered with Coastlands a few times. What is special about Spiritual Emphasis weeks is that these people actually care about the children. These times provide a wonderful opportunity to the kids to build real friendships with people they can trust. To ask their questions, share their doubts, ask for prayer, or even practical help. I loved to spend lunch, classes or gym classes with the kids. The key for these special relationships is being part of their lives for a while. And that's exactly what we did during Spiritual Emphasis weeks. Young people today desperately need mentors: this is what Coastlands provide for them. The most important is though, that during Spiritual Emphasis week and in the private conversations with Coastlands members, children hear the Gospel of Jesus and Biblical teaching and advice. They get to know God Himself through these experiences.
I personally also gained so much from this. I could use these experiences later, as I started working with children at schools.
One of my most memorable events with Coastlands was when a whole class of students prayed for each other. We formed circles with the 8th graders and started praying for each other. We did this for hours, because the chidlren didn't want to leave. Everywhere children were crying, hugging each other, encouraging one another, saying sorry and so on. It was so touching to see that. The love of God was revealed. I mean, where else do students do such thing?
I have been being ministered to by this group for more than 20 years. They have helped many people find Christ through their ministry. Two thumbs up, 5 starts, and a standing O.
My name is Phil Walker. I have seen Coastlands minister powerfully at Upton Lake Christian School where I was a teacher, Scripture director, and sports coach. The impact they had on my students and athletes was immediate and lasting as they shared and lived out Biblical truth in a vejry personal way that connected with our students and supported what we as teachers were doing. After watching them impact my school for many years, I was thrilled when my schedule allowed me to join them for a week at another school where I could see close-up the authentic and Christ-glorifying sacrificial heart and commitment of Pam and Matt and others as we served another school. I am Charlotte Mourere and I first met Coastlands Consultants three years ago. As a student, I grew much closer to God and I was inspired to strengthen my relationship even more. This past year, I was able to join the team at a school for one week and it was an incredible experience. The team displayed such love and kindness towards each other and the students. I intend to join the team again next year again. It has been amazing to be taught by this team, and to have the opportunity to join them.
My name is Sean Hyatt. Coastland consultants has come to my school since I was In first grade. The lessons they teach just have a way to get to your life. My favorite part was always coffee can. Anyone could ask anything completely anonymously and the team would have great answers. One of the leaders, Mr Huffman, gave me a thermostat and a thermometer back in third grade I believe. It was based off an object lesson that has stuck with me to this day as a freshman in high school. I was lucky enough to spend a week with the team and go to a school as a part time member. It's one thing when you are receiving the messages from the team, but when you're the one on the team helping and teaching the kids, it's a different experience. It's amazing because while you can be helping other kids, you will learn something not only from the team but from the kids as well. The full time members of the team and some of the greatest people I've ever met and are so committed and devoted to this ministry.
I'm Jacob Taylor and Coastlands Consultants has been coming to my school for years. I've had the privilege of going with them to two different schools and I plan on more trips in the future!! The leaders Mr. Huffman, Dr. Brady, and Emily are some of the most dedicated, hard-working people I know. They have truly had an impact on schools all across New England by teaching the Gospel to thousands of kids over the years.
I am a Christian school teacher. I have seen the results of Coastlands being at our school. Children are excited to learn more about the Bible. They begin to put into practice the things they learned in their Spiritual Emphasis Week. Many ask when they are coming back.
It has been a pleasure to be in friendship with Coastlands for many years. I first experienced time with Pam Brady at a Christian educators conference back in the 1990s. Her gifts with music, scripture and humor are balanced with high standards for sharing the gospel and testimony of life as a Christian. The Coastlands Experience has become an important time at our school each year. Matt and Pam are names that the kids remember and anticipate from year to year. Each year, the newer members of the Coastlands team are a positive influence for all of the children. Preschool students all the way through our 8th graders have personal interactions with team members after the daily chapel time is over. The team join the kids for recess, lunch and in the classroom when invited.
Coastlands helps to mentor young people as they travel with the to a variety of schools, whether it be for just a week, or a longer term commitment. It is with great confidence that I recommend time with Coastlands!
Hi, my name is Dan Tedone. I am a junior in college studying at Cedarville University. I cannot describe how much of an impact Coastlands Consultants has had on my life. I first encountered their ministry in third grade and they have immensely helped my walk through life and with God since then. Their team is great at maintaining relationships and intentional discipleship even over long distance. They continually pray for all their students and have hearts of perseverance that would rival any other great leaders. "Steadfast" is the word that I would use to describe Pam and Matt as they have spearheaded this ministry.
I have had the opportunity to serve for a couple weeks on their team, and I cannot articulate with words the impact their ministry has had on students. Seriously. Do not negate this ministry simply because it is to "Christian" kids. I was one of those kids once who people thought was always "okay," but I needed a mentor more than anything. That mentor came in the form of Matt Huffman. Christian school kid's lives all over the greater New England are being changed as a result of this incredible ministry.

I first became involved with Coastlands in 2014 and have participated in three Spiritual Emphasis Weeks with the team. I have seen the fruit of their work--to which they are fiercely dedicated--firsthand in the form of lives committed or recommitted to Christ, relationships mended, and painful wounds tended to. Dr. Brady and Matt Huffman serve the Lord wholeheartedly and sacrificially through this ministry; they take up their crosses to reach kids who may otherwise be overlooked because they are in Christian environments and the depth of their faith is assumed.
Not only does Coastlands serve students in Spiritual Emphasis Weeks, but I have been personally encouraged, convicted, and inspired by these leaders. They practice what they preach and they do it all for God's glory. Dr. Brady always says that it's important for us to not only know the Word of God, but to know the God of the Word. In all that they do, Coastlands absolutely leads others to a deeper relationship with the God of the Word.
Spiritual Emphasis Week has become woven into the fabric of our school. It is one, if not THE, highlight for students and staff each year. When asked the five best things about the week: "Bible Ball", object lessons, songs, learning to be an army not an audience, and becoming closer to each other and closer to Jesus. A transforming week for our students, powerful to witness for our staff. The Coastlands team can do what we pray for daily, challenge and churn up the spiritual soil of our young people. We thank God for this ministry and pray for continued opportunities to reach young people for Christ!
Pam and Matt came to our little school in north western Vermont regularly for several years to provide a week of encouragement and worship and it made a strong impact on our children and was encouraging to the staff and parents as well. I have interned with Coastlands for a couple years now, and have had them in High School as well. When they came to our school for Spirit Emphasis Week, my life was directly impacted by their ministry. When the team does journaling with the students, they pour themselves out in the responses and give Godly advice based fully on His word. When we did worship with Coastlands, we felt God move in powerful ways our school had not seen before. They taught me how to be an effective leader and when I started interning with them, I was able to put that into practice. As a student, they are a fun, loving, and wholly-committed team who pours their hearts out for the students, no matter who the students are. As an intern, they are an amazing team who is constantly growing closer to God. This ministry has impacted me, my classmates, and MANY other students for Christ. They are wholly dedicated, committed,, and sold out for Christ, and God has used them mightily :)
I volunteered with Coastland Consultants twice at Manhattan Christian Academy. The experience was life-giving and encouraging for both the team and the children we ministered to. Even the staff was positively affected by our ministry to the students. This school is in a poor area of New York City, and the children, despite attending a Christian school, were often exposed to divorce, drug use, and poverty in their neighborhoods and even at home. Spiritual Emphasis Week provided a time of joy and learning about God's Word that encouraged students and helped them through hard times.
In my time working with the Coastlands Team, I met some of the most committed and loving followers of Christ. The full time Coastlands Team lives a humble life in a humble home, they sacrifice a lot to ensure that volunteers are able to join them, and they devote their lives completely to do ministry. This is not some big, fancy church with fog machines and a cafe. This is a truly biblical ministry whose focus is never on themselves or their image... their focus is always on the Lord. This ministry is worth your time, prayers, and financial resources not because they are "cool" or run amazing luxury camps... it is worth it because they serve the Lord with everything they are given.
