I am having a great experience working with The NOVA Bulls Organization. From my first introduction to DeMarcus and Alora Henry I have been impressed. The organization is really passionate about serving the community and empowering youth through basketball and community service. I attended community day in February, which was a wonderful family event, introducing the team, offering free haircuts, collecting shoe donations, and lots of fun.
I am able to work firsthand with the semi-pro team, who act as mentors for youth, focusing on anti-violence, anti-bullying, and anti-drugs. The organization really values and appreciates our Rooted Touch massage services and I am so proud and grateful to be a part of this amazing organization. If you are looking to get involved in helping a nonprofit organization I highly recommend The NOVA Bulls Organization.

Mission: The NOVA Bulls is a 501(c)3 organization that is providing an opportunity for athletes around the DMV area to experience personal growth, gain exposure, compete and enrich the community. Our mission is to provide a platform for aspiring athletes to chase their dreams while giving back to the community. Our organization passionately believes that teamwork, respect, and empowerment are paramount to the success of a community. We epitomize the adage, “It takes a village to raise a child.”
Results: By using sports as a platform to bring youth, adolescents, and young adults together, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for individuals who may struggle with inclusion, lack resources or guidance, or simply need an opportunity to thrive. Our mentorship program brings in experts who share their valuable insights on various topics such as anti-bullying, anti-violence, anti-drugs, social responsibility, mental health, nutrition, financial literacy, first-time home buying, resume writing, interview simulations, entrepreneurship, the importance of education, community enrichment, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and self-respect. By continuously guiding our participants from a young age until adulthood, we aim to facilitate holistic development in every aspect of their lives. As a result of our dedication to the betterment of our community, we have seen our players grow not only in skills and abilities on the field but also in character and values that extend beyond sports. Many of our players have gone on to play in higher leagues and have become positive influences in their respective communities. Furthermore, we aspire to branch off into other sports such as volleyball, baseball, soccer, and football so that we may expand our reach and provide even more opportunities for individuals to find a safe and nurturing space to thrive. With our sights set on creating a community center to serve as a haven for children to learn life skills and play, we are committed to making a lasting and impactful difference in the lives of those we serve.
