The Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition is a wonderful organization, full of knowledgeable and supportive staff members. The resources the organization provided, including support groups, helped me get through a very difficult time in my life.
I’ve seen first hand the hard work the members of the coalition put in and the impact on those that they help. They’re an amazing and dedicated group, spending countess hours after work, weekends etc to help others. It seems every year their charitable events and effort are even more successful than the previous, helping even more people.
The BBCC was and is a wonderful organization that helped support me while I was going through breast cancer treatment 10 years ago. I can never repay their kindness and the services they provided to me so I
volunteer for them whenever I am able and I refer newly diagnosed women I meet to them. Their staff goes above and beyond to provide needed support and services to all who need them.
BBCC helped me during a very tough, challenging time in my life. The volunteers were compassionate, helpful and so encouraging.
Out of this world they are the most caring compassionate people I have ever met. Willing kind thoughtful organization that work tireless hours and are there for you 24/7!!!

I would never have emotionally or medically made it through my cancer journey without this wonderful organization and the angels that run it !!!
I found Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition through my neighbor. She brought me a "survival kit" with things to help me through. I am a breast cancer survivor and I had a double mastectomy with expanders on 10/5/16. I thought my breast surgeon and plastic surgeon were gifts from God. Then 6 weeks later I needed to find a new plastic surgeon before my last fill. I was devastated and didn't know where to turn. I called the Coalition and an angel named Terry answered the phone. She didn't know me but listened with her heart and ears as I sobbed uncontrollably. She stayed on the phone with me until I calmed down, then shared what steps I should take. In the interim Terry made several calls to both my breast surgeon and plastic surgeon. I found a new plastic surgeon, had the exchange done in April and have made new friends in Terry & Bev. I am so grateful for their love and support, without Terry I don't think I would have come out of my nightmare as well as I did.
I will give as much time as I can to pay it forward with the Babylon Breast cancer Coalittion, because of them,
My mind is at peace.

I became involved with this organization after my sister in law had been diagnosed with breast cancer. I wanted to do something to help in some way and was lucky to meet and get involved with the amazing, inspiring ladies of the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition. I continue to volunteer my time when I can to this wonderful organization which helps people in the Town of Babylon in so many ways! It is so rewarding to hear people come up to me when I'm volunteering and with so much emotion tell me how much the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition has helped them and what it has meant for them.
I belong to a very large group of BBQ enthusiasts that cook often for charitable causes. Sometimes it's as simple as grilled peaches w/ honey and sometimes it's as complicated as 55 family sized Thanksgiving meals.
It's been our pleasure to work w/ the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition over the years. We have an odd perspective. We don't benefit from their work directly but we get to see a bit 'behind the curtain'. They work tirelessly to help the women that come to them for assistance and often do so without respect for clock or calendar. If something needs to be done after hours or on weekends, they are there.
They are a grass roots organization that is on the front line of helping women and families dealing w/ breast cancer. They somehow make every dollar contain more than 100 pennies as they seem to stretch their resources past the breaking point to ensure that whatever is needed gets done.
If I'm ever afflicted w/ disease such as cancer, I hope that I find a support system as thorough and caring as the women in Babylon have w/ the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.

I was diagnosed in 2014 ,not knowing a lot about breast cancer I turned to the incredible ladies at the breast cancer coalition .The ladies are super knowledgeable and help with everything from phone calls to cheer you up ,to getting me help with cleaning my house after surgery to even helping with thanksgiving dinner.the BBCC is amazing I could never say enough or thank them enough.
The coalition has helped me every week with transportation for my blood work and my chemo treatments.
They set up an account for me to have food delivered, free of charge.
When I needed a cranium prosthesis they guided me to obtain one.
The volunteers are always there for support, answer questions or just listen.
It is a wonderful non profit organization.
This organization does such a wonderful job at serving the women in need who are fighting or are victim of this horrible disease. This organization is truly remarkable and embodies all the kindness that is needed amongst humanity.
The Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition does such wonderful and meaningful services for women who are probably going through the hardest time period in their life. From my initial diagnosis they were there from day one with a goody bag explaining how they could help me with services and emotional support from all their volunteers who mostly are breast cancer survivors themselves. From helping with meals, to transportation to helping with housecleaning they were always available. In my particular case at the end of my reconstruction my insurance changed and my new policy wouldn't allow my Doctor to finish his reconstruction with a tattoo that they actually stepped up and paid for my nipples to be Tattooed! Amazing !!!!! They are just an incredible organization !
It almost goes without saying that the love and compassion that comes from BBCC far surpassed my expectations. The support I received during my illness from the volunteers helped me get through a time in my life that changed me forever and restored my faith in humanity through their kindness and generosity. Keeping their mission alive is important and necessary for our community.
A friend referred me to BBCC after hearing how they helped another friend of hers going through breast cancer also. I didn't call right away because I was overwhelmed but when I did I spoke with the director, Tess, who took the time to reassure me of their local support and assistance. She personally delivered a gift bag of donated items that would help me with my surgery, treatments, and recovery. One of them was an informative book that was so valuable to me!! I wish I had called earlier as it was a such a needed resource. I was also assigned a volunteer (who had been through bc) and was able to speak to her on a regular basis about my treatments and recovery process. She was so kind and generous with her time and it was reassuring to know I could talk to someone locally as opposed to an 800# or call center. BBCC also donated other services and meals to my family through their Lend a Helping Hand program. It was so appreciated and helped relieve some of the stress we were all going through. I fully support this organization and the wonderful staff who are always friendly and willing to help their clients in any way they can (transportation, referrals, resources, etc.). I am so thankful for them. Terry still continues to keep me informed of their local activities and programs. and I continue to recommend them to anyone going through breast cancer as well as others who may be able to support their efforts.
Hello,Babylon breast cancer coalition is amazing.in may 2013 I was diagnosed with breast cancer,I was scared and need someone to talk too so I picked up the phone and spoke to a lovely lady that has helped me get through a bad time.My advocate (tess) and the coalition made this bad time easy too cope with, from a talk on the phone to people cleaning the house and thanksgiving dinner.Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition are my angels that helped me and family?

The BBCC is a blessing!! They have helped me so much within my journey. They not only offer support for breast cancer patients, but other gynecological cancers like ovarian cancer. I honestly don't know how I would have done it without there generosity and support. Before people both inside and out!! Love you guys.
I don't know what I would have done without them. I got food from them when I was too dick to cook for my family. They sent people to clean my house during all the months I had chemo. They paid bills so I didn't fall too behind being out of work. They are generous and kind. My family and I are forever grateful
I have the privielege of knowing these people...thought me so much about giving..it truely changed my outlook on 'impossible...'...I know now if theres a will there truely is a way..Thanks to all that put so much into this organization..
BBCC goes above and beyond.... A volunteer steps up and is assigned to every client and walks them through their journey. The volunteer is there for them every step of the way if the client wants them there. They paid some quite a bit of my financial needs, sent prepared delicious homemade food for the holidays and prepared food when I was going through treatments. House cleaning service was also supplied to me when I couldn't do it myself. My volunteer is now a life long friend and pink sister. I have never met such wonderful and caring people in my life........
The Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition is wonderful. Just speaking with them on the phone was always calming and reassuring. They helped me with meals for my family, contributing toward my wig, and the housecleaning (which I had to say was my favorite thing!) The gentleman that came to clean the house was just that, a gentleman. He was kind and thoughtful and did a great job! I am very grateful for everything they did for me to get thru this awful time in my life. When I hear someone going thru this, I always tell them about the BBCC. They helped me tremendously!
