Mission: To support, aid, and assist the Lexington County Museum.
Results: The Friends of the Lexington County Museum has raised over $260,000 through various fund-raising events to support museum projects since beginning in 1997. Museum projects supported by the Friends have included the restoration of the Leaphart-Harman House, the Pigeon House, the Daniel Koon House, the Rockaway Carriage, and Ellen’s Quarters. Funding for the construction of exhibit cases for the black-powder rifles and other artifacts and assistance in maintenance of the Hazelius and Fox Houses have also been provided by the Friends.
