As a recent Board Member, I have been privileged to see more of the inner-workings of a dedicated staff at Triple H. In addition, I have been a side walker for my daughter much of the last 9 years. She started riding at about 2 1/2 years old on a Mongolian named "Scout." Over the years, she has enjoyed her trail rides in the country on "Flash", "Zippy", "Sunny" and other well trained horses. Triple H was suggested to us due my daughter's Cerebral Palsy. She does not walk and has severe balance issues in addition to the typical symptoms of CP. As such she could not sit up independently for the first few years of riding and needed upper body support from side-walkers. She now holds the reigns and "sits tall in the saddle" without needing a hand to support her.

I have volunteered in the office at Triple H. The staff is very easy to get along with and assisted me in learning the way that things are done. I also enjoyed going out into the barn and talking to the horses during my break and at the end of the day. I helped them get their mailing list together for the next mailing and I hope that my efforts bring in funding to help keep the horses in good health so that they can help those who have physical, mental an emotional challenges. It is fun to volunteer at Triple H!!

I have been a donor for Triple H since 2006. I have seen the wonders of horses help those who are living with physical and emotional challenges over and over again. I have witnessed autistic children talk for the first time and wounded soldiers mention that they could feel tingling in their legs after riding. Many many miracles happen at Triple H!!

I volunteer as a horse handler with the Triple H Equine Therapy Center. It has been a tremendously rewarding experience as I watch and assist the children make improvements and gain confidence by working with such a capable staff. The emphasis on safety is very impressive at every level. Frequent equipment checks and attentive side walkers work to make each session a safe and rewarding experience. The emotional well-being of the children is always a concern and effort is made to teach and encourage without stressing the participants. It is a kind, joyful place to volunteer and I am grateful to be a part of the program.
