Mission: At Operation Recovery, we serve our nation’s heroes: veterans, first responders, and their families. We do this by providing awareness and support for veterans and first responders through supplies, training, housing, health services as well as community events, and to provide charitable support for distressed Americans and allies of America located abroad.
Operation Recovery’s vision is to build a community that supports veterans, first responders, and our allies — providing them with the means to create sustainment in their lives and partnering with them to enable their future successes.
Target demographics: Veteran, FIrst Responders, US Citizens, and Allies of America.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 3,500 At-Risk Afghan Partners to safe passage out of Afghanistan via 9 chartered flights. We helped another 7,500 via direct humanitarian aid.
Operation Recovery puts donations to good use. Since August of 2021, they've been helping Afghan allies of the United States and NATO, and this year they've been doing humanitarian work with the women, children, and elderly fleeing Ukraine. They directly assist families in need, which not only does good in the world -- it also eases the financial (and emotional) burden on the veterans and active duty service members who are supporting those families. They provide regular updates to donors, which is awesome, and coordinate with the US Government so I know they're trusted at high levels and my donations will be used where they're most effective. Highly recommend this non-profit.
I believe that the money that I donated actually produced results and that my donation was used to help people in need. They should do more larger scale advertising to reach more people.
