Mobility Matters is a nonprofit that provides mobility management services throughout Contra Costa County by matching riders to transportation providers that meet their individual needs. Mobility Matters operates a trained volunteer driver program that provides free, one-on-one, door-through-door rides for disabled seniors and disabled veterans who cannot access other forms of transportation. Basically Mobility Matters is neighbors giving neighbors rides to medical appointments and to go grocery shopping. You really get to know the clients and they have such wonderful stories about their life experiences.

Mobility Matters is a great service. They provide free, one-on-one, door to door rides for Seniors and Veterans in Contra Costa County. All of the volunteers are screened and trained drivers. These rides are primarily for basic necessities such as medical care, dental and grocery shopping trips for the qualifies clients. You can reach them at 925-284-6109. We are always looking for new drivers who would like to make a difference. All drivers must be from age 25 to 75 years old with a current drivers license. Please call 925-284-2215 if you are looking to become a volunteer driver.
