Lion's Heart is a fantastic organization for teens and pre-teens to learn the valuable effects of volunteerism. Along the way, the programs help build leadership skills, build independence as well as working as a team for a positive impact on the community. Both of my children were in Lion's Heart and benefited greatly from their participation. The staff were great to work with and were very responsive to questions and comments. We had no problems at all building a strong portfolio for college.
I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful organization.

Programs: We are Lion’s Heart Teen Volunteers and Leaders: teens dedicated to positive social impact. We are a national nonprofit that connects 6th-12th-grade students with local service opportunities that help them build a strong community service portfolio and a sense of compassion and confidence, resulting in a future of empathetic, community-focused leaders. We offer much more than a way to track volunteer hours, we invest right back into the community to do large group service events, and provide more leadership and growth opportunities for our teens. Teens can join as group members or individual members. We work with thousands of nonprofits to give our members volunteer opportunities near them. Teens can track hours, earn leadership awards, and export their service portfolio to use on scholarship, college, and career applications. We are nearly 6,000 members strong with new chapters forming every day across the United States! We are a certifying organization for both the President’s Volunteer Service Awards as well as The Congressional Award. Lion's Heart Teens have amassed over 1 Million volunteer hours since its inception in 2004.
