Causes: Community Foundations, Philanthropy
Mission: To improve lives through philanthropic leadership by providing superior donor services, ensuring the sustainability of the philanthropic community, making grants that positively impact the community and serving as a leader, catalyst and resource.
Target demographics: Donors, nonprofits and our entire community.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Managed over 240 funds, supported over 200 nonprofits and worked with more than 100 students through our Youth Philanthropy and scholarship programs.
Geographic areas served: Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Programs: For nearly 30 years, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has been making giving smarter, nonprofits more effective and our community stronger. The Foundation enables donors to establish personal philanthropic funds to simplify their giving and help them leave a lasting legacy. Each year, the Foundation organizes Old Bill’s Fun Run for Charities, which has raised over $146 million for local nonprofits. The Foundation manages 240 philanthropic funds and endowments over $60 million in assets, hosts Community Conversations, professional development workshops, a list serve for nonprofits, a volunteer matching website, distributes grants through its Competitive Grants and Youth Philanthropy programs.
