907VETS INC seeks to provide essential services to Alaska Veterans. I am impressed that since the initial gathering of less than a year, 907VETS INC a completely volunteer organization has successfully achieved nonprofit 501c3 and 501c19 status. Have developed and maintained web and facebook sites with access to veteran resources, a photo gallery, among other valuable info. Currently they have designed a free membership/interest/activity form so that they can align those Veterans with similar interests and seek funding that will support; they are working with Lazer Print in Homer to refine their design and print pamphlets to be disbursed to Veterans at a variety of locations throughout Alaska. I highly recommend this organization and the essential services they provide Alaska's Veterans. To date most funding other than that listed was bootstrapped by the volunteer BOD; however the current need for donations and grant funding is crucial to the mission ...
This is a new Veterans Service Organization with big ambitions in Alaska. Focused on connecting veterans to resources and each other no matter where they reside in our enormous state, they have a broader scope than many other organizations that work in this territory. It’s a valiant mission and they have the motivation to create a statewide community of veterans that can make headway on a number of issues that impact Alaska veterans: suicide prevention, access to care and resources, and connectedness in a highly rural state where most of our communities aren’t connected by road to the outside world. As one who chairs a couple vet organizations in the state and who has worked for a decade to serve Alaska’s veterans, I’m really excited to see what’s in store for 907VETS.

Thank you Chief Bill. This year we were able to support by attending and networking at the Homer Suicide Awareness and Prevention M/C and Car run from Homer to Anchor Point. Veteran & non-Veteran M/C riders came from various communities on the Kenai Peninsula to raise awareness.
Just wanted to give a shout out to the beautiful and benevolent members of this awesome organization. Without even blinking an eye, they came and helped my ailing father with some needs in his home, and all with a smile. It’s my understanding that they are not currently accepting monetary donations, but goods and services are absolutely welcome, especially in this time of increased need for some of our most vulnerable in the community. Please reach out to this lovely organization if you have even an inkling to do so! Thank you 907 Vets ❤️

We are thrilled that the fishing adventure we were able to provide by networking with H.A.V.E.-Alaska for sponsorship provided time for you to share camaraderie with other Alaskan veterans brought you such joy and blessings.
