Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: Tender hearts crusades (thc) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that has a heart to impact the lives of inner city youth at risk. Through mentoring programs, our goal is to cultivate our future generation and help them to develop social and personal skills.
Programs: The nehemiah project: the nehemiah project aims to build youth's self-esteem, give back to the community, and encourage young artists to follow their dreams. Through the arts, youth see a difference within themselves, as well as notice the impact they have on others and their community, encouraging them to become future leaders of tomorrow.
sankofa: sankofa is a workshop and documentary created to teach the history and heritage of early african civilization. This program included a drum lesson, performance, and a theatre performance.
live the game: capoeira capoeira: live the game is a 6 week wellness and diversity program, aimed towards at risk youth, using brazilian capoeira.
other program services include establishment of the hands up foundation and general operating costs.
