I personally have never had the chance to visit in person, but my niece has and she loves the place and people. I live in Wisconsin, but one day when I am Indiana during open hours, I would love to stop in. I have donated and shopped online. Wonderful products and great delivery time. I can tell from posts how much love and dedication is poured in to Feline Community. God Bless everyone that helps
in any way to keep their doors open. Angels on earth do exist!
I am truly inspired by the love, care, and dedication that this organization provides in giving much-needed attention to the cats in their care. I love their wonderful gift shop that always has fun new items and nothing more Adorable than the kitties that help you shop! I Highly Recommend this place to everyone who loves kitties and is considering fostering or adoption. Michellle's compassion and tireless advocacy for these beautiful creatures never ceases to Amaze me! Organizations like this one make the world a better place....FCN Rocks!!!
FCN takes in the kitties many others wouldn’t bother with, nurse them back to health and find them loving homes while proving a comfortable place to live while they wait. They pull from overcrowded shelters and animal control, rescue suffering animals off the streets. They are very involved with the community and have an amazing gift shop! Amazing staff and safe haven for kits!
FCN is an AMAZING foundation for Kitties in NW Indiana. There has been many times where they’ve been at capacity and yet open their door & hearts to a kitty in need or find another helpful solution. I adopted a beautiful ginger boy that has my heart so I’m forever grateful to FCN and try to assist with donations whenever I can.
FCN is an amazing place to find cat lovers and fantastic felines!! The shop has amazing cat merch and the best cats around!! My kitty from FCN has changed my life and I can't imagine it without her!!! If you're considering adopting, this place is the perfect spot!!
This is my favorite shelter in Northwest Indiana. Their gift shop is top notch. The employees are friendly and helpful. My favorite thing is that they take in strays with the worst odds and give them the best life possible. No case is too hard for them. They work hard and yield impossible results.
Our whole family loves Feline Community Network. They take in and care for injured and ill homeless cats and help them heal before adopting them out. They also have a cat sanctuary for some cats who can’t be adopted out. We adopted our cat, Owl, from FCN 2 years ago. We support FCN by shopping at their gift shop often as well as donating when we are able. The gift shop has some resident cats who help to lead you around.
I have always been impressed by the way FCN runs it's rescue. Cats are in large cages where they can move, play and get comfortable. You get info from signs on the cages. Even if you can't adopt now, you can support them in the gift shop which has quality items at great prices. The TNR programs help feral populations in the area. Thanks for all you do!
I manage a humane society in Gary and we are always getting cats dumped outside our shelter and they almost always need help. This wonderful organization always have stepped up to the plate to help us by saving their lives. Michele and her staff work miracles and save lives by providing the best care possible for these sweet babies. I know our shelter would be at a loss without the help of feline community network!
I just moved to Hobart and wanted to get a companion. I didn't want another dog (but love them still) because I would be gone on weekends. I researched and found an older cat at FCN. The whole experience was amazing. The cat i adopted, Henry, is one of the best things I have done. FCN is a great and loving place. I launched a fundraiser at Duck Creek to help them out. I also volunteer to help but not as much as I would like. I love that they have a "community" of cats that will not be adopted but taken care of for various reasons. They are a wonderful place and hope all get to see there new place to shop or adopt!
I love Feline Community Network and their mission. I have been a volunteer since day one. Helping those cats that are injured, sick and needing rehabilitation is a great cause. I would not have Frost if FCN had not taken him in after being hit by a car. My tripod is an amazing boy.
Nice close knit community. I had a outdoor cat that needed help. FCN took her in and helped her. She ended up being adopted. Great nonprofit and awesome people.
Beautiful organization with amazing heart; they put their all into taking care of their kitties and I always have so much fun when I visit or volunteer. Spending time there always brightens my day; the kitties are happy, loving, and well taken care of. Michelle pours her whole heart into FCN and it definitely shows
The gift shop is also filled with unique items both for people and kitties; every time I visit there’s something new and fun. There’s so much to look at at FCN; from the gift shop to the kitties, it’s definitely a worthy cause built by a great and dedicated woman with a genuine love for animals.
I cannot say enough good things about FCN. Their dedication to helping the kitties is unmeasurable. We adopted our fur baby from FCN. They were thorough in the adoption process, making sure we were serious in taking on the pet & that we would be a good fit. They take amazing care of all the animals there as well as helping with other shelters, clinics, & cats in need.
The store at FCN is adorable & tastefully put together. I have found items there for our cats (that they've loved-toys, catnip, etc...) as well as lots of things for gifts for our cat loving friends, and yummy goodies too!
I started out in a donor capacity with the Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry, providing monetary and pet supplies. I understood the mission to help families in need thru pet food and other essentials in maintaining pet health, education and spay/neuter assistance. I later turned into a volunteer after seeing the out reach and rescue program. The Kibble Kitchen offers assistance in both Lake & Porter Counties, helping families keep their pets due to economic constraints, education on proper pet care/responsibilities and helping connect pets with people. The need for this program is great and the organization is staffed with caring individuals who are there to assist.
The Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry is a great organization. I volunteer there because I know how important it is to have furbabies, they are a part of the family and keeping the family together is a top priority. This organization not only helps feed the pets, they also rescue and that is also a priority. Spay and neuter are big with the pantry, educating clients is number one.
Kibble kitchen pet pantry, has some very big hearted volunteers! They dedicate their time to help those in need and spread the word of spaying and neutering! Which is very important.
I had received a call from a friend of mine that there was going to be a dog put to sleep because of abandonment of new owners not wanting her. I freaked out and contacted all the rescues I knew and then reached out to kibble kitchen and they are the ones who were able to find a rescue to save this poor dog from being put to sleep. She now has been a foster fail and is happy in her furrever home ♡ I couldnt have done it with out kibble kitchen!
That being said they are just amazing wonderful people! With a purpose and a cause and their story needs to get out there for people who do not know of them!!!
I would rate 100 stars if I could!
This charity is so needed in our community. They genuinely care for their clients & do everything to help them keep their pets despite being down on their luck! I cannot say enough about them & the commitment to their mission.
Kibble Kitchen is an amazing group of passionate volunteers and if given the resources I am positive that they could change the world! Kibble kitchen goes out of their way to feed hungry animals, provide education to pet owners and improve the welfare of all animals in NWI. I am consistently amazed by the efforts. Every dime goes back into the mission, and I'm excited to see what the KK is up to next! If you are looking for a good cause to donate, here it is!!
