Mission: Ennis Center for Children is one of the largest minority led agencies in Southeast Michigan. Ennis Center was developed out of the need to create a specialized program for special needs children who needed out of home placement. Ennis Center for Children's Mission Statement is "To preserve and reunify families whenever possible, and to create new families when needed." The guiding principles which direct the course of all activities are: Families are the focus of everything we do.

Programs: Foster care program removes children from their home due to abuse and or neglect and places them in a licensed foster home. Counseling and psychological and psychiatric services are provided.
community based delinquency is a program where case workers work with delinquent youth on an outpatient, not institutionalized, basis.
the agency also offers adoption services which faciltates the adoption of special needs youth currently in foster care.
