I work for Douglas Co. Fire Department on the QRV with our co-responders and have had a great opportunity to Work with Tara from the Nichols center with mental health patients in the field. Tara has always shown a professional and caring attitude. I'm look forward to having more encounters with her in the future.

The Nichols Center provides resiliency training to our first responders at no cost. They provide one-on-one counseling services for personnel who need it and lastly, they provide a resource for patients experiencing a behavioral crisis. Tara's compassion and the dedication of the Nichols Center to first responders far exceed anyone's expectations. WE are better because of the Nichols Center and our staff is better able to take care of their mental health. Tara and her staff are the real deal... 100% genuine.
The Nichols Center has done amazing work during the past 10 years with our community, helping families of addiction, the homeless, first-responders, depression, suicide and community support. I have been proud to be a part of The Nichols Center since the very beginning and look forward to the work it will do for many years.

I recommend any family, or individual, facing substance abuse and/or mental health challenges reach out to the Nichol's Center at the earliest convenience. The organization embraces collaboration as a core principle within the organization's culture. The staff exhibits an extraordinary keen sense of urgency with regard to recovery and 'life outcomes'. The clinical team is well versed in the 'helping field', as well as posses real world experience in family dynamics of substance abuse/mental health. And the center offers a plethora of tailored programming for many sub-populations. To be sure, the Nichols Center is 'one of the good ones'!
