Volunteering at Equine Safe Haven in Deming, NM, has been an enriching and heartwarming experience. This sanctuary provides a compassionate environment for equines that have been abandoned, abused, or are otherwise in need of care. The staff's dedication to rehabilitation and training is truly inspiring, and their commitment to using horsemanship and carriage driving to enhance the lives of the disabled and economically disadvantaged showcases a unique and impactful approach to equine therapy. As a volunteer, I have found the work to be deeply rewarding, offering not just the opportunity to contribute to the welfare of these magnificent animals, but also to learn and grow in my understanding of animal care and therapy. The inclusive, supportive community atmosphere and the picturesque setting only enhance the overall experience, making every visit to the ranch a day to look forward to.
I enjoy visiting the horses, donkeys and the rest of the equines at Equine Safe Haven. They were saved from slaughter and now have a purpose. I enjoy petting them and watching the carriage driving. I donate to this charity because this Ranch has a very loving and caring feel about it. The people here are very compassionate about their cause. It’s a fantastic concept put into action. My donation helps a community and more and helps save the lives of horses and donkeys.
I volunteer there when possible, I see the animals are well cared for and loved on. I am truly thankful for the owners as they have saved many horses that otherwise would have been killed. They are amazing horses and lots of life and many years left to live. But now in a safe and caring environment.
Equine Safe Haven is an amazing organization that is dedicated to making a positive impact while advancing their mission. They save horses and other animals from the kill pen to rehabilitate and repurpose them. They are an excellent educational facility for the general public and also offer programs for the disabled to be able to drive carriages.
Great nonprofit helping differently abled people learn pleasure driving, as well as helping revitalize this wonderful equine sport.
