Mission: Refugee Women's Network focuses on enhancing refugee and immigrant women's strengths, skills, and courage through leadership training, education and advocacy to promote independence, self-sufficiency, and networking among its participants.
Results: In FY 2012, we served over 100 clients through the Microenterprise Program; Distributed 34 microloans totaling $128,850 to women from Liberia, Somalia, Kenya, Guyana, Nigeria, Congo, Iraq, Iran, Colombia, and Guinea; Facilitated eleven trainings for 66 participants about how to start a business in Georgia, Business Planning, Accounting, and Marketing; Provided 40 individual technical assistance consultations; Enabled clients to sell/market their products and services at several vendor opportunities, and hosted two networking events; Organized an Open House for the community at the end of the year, and an Awards Reception during the summer to recognize refugee women leaders in the community; Hosted a Community Organizing workshop for sixteen (16) refugee and immigrant women; and Began a new Life Skills and Leadership program for refugee women.

The case worker who helped me overcome all the challenges and difficult times,since I start going to the Life skills workshops and leadership. I have changed the was I treat my family, friends and community. I have learned a lot about the US laws and system and my self esteem and confidence went so high and my life has changed ever since.
