Causes: Homeless & Housing, Homeless Shelters, Mental Health, Mental Health Treatment, Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans
Mission: To conduct a running/walking/rucking event in CT that promotes the awareness of the sacrifices our veterans have made for our country, and the great service they continue to give to our communities; with proceeds used to support the many Veteran Service Organizations available to them.
Results: Since we began in 2016, we have distributed over $100,000 to 20 different Veteran Service Organizations.
Target demographics: military veterans and the service organizations who support them.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Veterans Rally Point, Dept. of Veterans Affairs Outreach Services, House of Heroes CT, Veterans Ride for Free, New England Human Animal Bond Foundation, Veterans Base Camp, and Backpacks for Life
Geographic areas served: Partnership with CT Veteran Service Organizations who directly support the needy veteran community.
Programs: Working with CT Veteran Service Organizations, we help fund programs that help the homeless, those that need emotional and/or physical therapeutic services, upgrades with homes to service physically challenged veterans, support with VA claims and services, job skills & training, and wellness support.
